That's amore'! Family of 4, all ate from Sunday buffet...pizza, chicken, ribs, REAL mashed potatoes, veggies, very fresh salad bar. Daughter wanted cheese pizza and it was made for her, even notified her when it was ready. Excellent, attentive waitstaff, drinks always kept fresh...and we visited during the after-church lunch rush. The owner was very involved... visiting tables, welcoming people, keeping tabs on food bar to get more out. Yes, the decor may be dated, but the food and staff more than make up for it. Don't judge a book by its cover. Eat here, you'll be pleased.

Being a native of this town, I've been a patron of this bakery my entire life. Last Thursday I took my grandson for his first visit. I love the way this place smells!! The bakery is oozing with the scent of pastries, cakes, pies, and...MoreLove it!!! Wish we could "bottle" that smell!!!

I accidentally found this bakery. I stopped because it was so brightly painted. Now the ting that got me about the WHOLE area, including the bakery, is EVERYTHING was in Spanish. I mean everything, even a for sale sign on a truck. I felt like I had taken a wrong turn and ended up in Old Mexico complete with a Taco Bell dog running around in a yard near by. It was so surreal it was comical.
Anyway I love authentic food and this bakery fit the bill. The guy in charge spoke broken English though he was very helpful and guided me through a series of fresh bollio and other tasty pastry.
Great find. Great pastry. Great people. If you are in the area, check em out.

My sister and brother was in town taking care of some business with my parents' estate. We decided to drive through town and found the Maters where Hammers used to be located. What a great place to meet friends and have a locally brewed beer and a bite to eat. It's great to see that downtown is open again.

This place is about as authentic as one will find when it comes to Mexican restaurants in N AL! The chips and salsa are phenomenal and different from most places. (Thicker chip) Food is wonderful! Service is good. Even leftovers heat and eat well! Price is great! We will be back!

My wife and I, along with our daughter and grandson visited here on a Sunday after church. We were seated immediately and found the restaurant to be clean and comfortable. The restroom was very clean as well. Our waitress was wonderful. My wife and I both ordered the 2 piece catfish fillet dinner. Hers was fried and mine blackened with the spicy hot seasoning. Our daughter ordered the country fried steak and our grandson wanted the grilled cheese and fries. Our waitress brought our drinks and a basket of hush puppies. The hush puppies were wonderful. Soon our food arrived. It was delivered hot, cooked perfectly and the portions for the most part were plentiful. Everyone was well pleased with their dinners except for my hot and spicy blackened fillets. My fillets were blackened, but there was no "hot" nor "spicy" to them at all, and the portions were surprisingly sad. Even my wife commented on how small the two fillets were. She often fusses at me for eating too much, but this day she felt bad for me that I was going to leave hungry. They were extremely thin and both of them were only about 3" long and 1 1/4" wide. Fortunately my baked potato was very large and the basket of hush puppies was plentiful or I would have left still hungry. My wife's two fillet were pretty good size. Hers was well worth the $11.99 price, but mine certainly was not worth the $11.99 price. The quality was great but the quantity was one of the worst I have ever gotten at any restaurant.

Wilson's BBQ is drive thru service only, stop at the window, order, normally ready to go with 5 minutes. You can get sandwiches or different sized meal pack. Whatever you get is going to be great. Three different sauces, all all good.

My wife and I were just passing through Albertville at lunch time looking for something that wasn't fast food. We saw the sign on 431. If you don't see the sign you will miss the restaurant. We always love to find good vegetable restaurants when out driving. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcomed us very graciously. This made us happy we decided to stop here. We both ordered the grilled pork chops, squash and mashed potatoes. I also ordered pinto beans and my wife the green beans. We were served very promptly. The vegetables were really good. They were seasoned perfectly. The portions were adequate (Not really large or too small). Maybe slightly smaller than most meat and 3 restaurants that I have visited. The corn bread and rolls included were very good. The only complaint was the pork chops were not seasoned at all. My pork chop was rather small and fatty. My wife's was so dry that she could not eat it. She was disappointed with her food. I was so-so with mine. I would eat here again. Maybe try the chicken or meat loaf next time. But definitely won't get the pork chop next time. The prices were reasonable and the restaurant was clean. The staff was a solid 5 rating. The vegetables were a 5. The pork chops were a 2 at best. The prices a 4 (had the portions been a little more satisfying I would give a 5 on the prices. Overall a 3 or 4. The staff was the factor in going with an overall 4.

Food was good, but not great. Service was good and so was margarita. I was working in area and ate alone, so I sat at bar. By their reaction, that doesn't happen often. I was only one in there. Nothing bad, just not great.

Totally stunned at the quality, taste and fact it rivals China town NYC or San Fran. Excellent flavor, portions and very pleasant servers! Highly recommended!!!! On a scale of 1,2,3 being sustenance only, commercial norm and 4,5,6,7 being lower to upper "traditional anywhere fare to better than avg" food and 8,9,10 being " creative delectable artisanal exceptional " highest quality; our group of 5 gives a 7.5
