Great location outside Rome, with panoramic view from the main square. Excellent place, with price very very cheap, but excellent quality: the real romanian cuisine and heritage. Don't search around. Amatriciana and Carbonara, are the main dishes of pasta. Super food generally. Familiar and kind waiters. To use as second own cuisine instead cook at home. Spectacular!!!

We stumbled upon this charming trattoria on a quiet Saturday after touring the Pontifical Gardens. It was at least 14:00 and most of the town was taking the pausa. Rosmarino was not busy and we feared it, too,k was closed, but were warmly welcomed for our late lunch. Others from our tour showed up as well, and I can honestly say everyone was delighted by the food, the service and the prices. Excellent amatriciana, and my salad with apples, walnuts and pecorino was huge and tasty. The house special antipasto is generous and inventive with not only salume, but also grilled vegetables and Roman-style beans. Inexpensive but good quality wine by the bottle rounded out our meal. Euro 44.00 and we were satiated.
No English on the menu. This is an authentic small town experience so bring an Italian phrasebook if you do not speak the language. Enjoy!

I decided to try this restaurant based on the trip advisor reviews. The center of Ariccia is lined with these small restaurants that serve porchetta, salami, cheeses, preserved vegetables and typical local fare. The people here were friendly in a very relaxed atmosphere. During the entire dinner a lady was working on making fresh pasta which was a nice touch (particularaly because the atmosphere otherwise leaves much to be desired). The wine was drinkable but not exceptional (this is also typical of these restaurants). The food was plentiful with very good porchetta. The vegetables were local (opposed to using commercial vegetables stored in olive oil). The fresh pasta was great- I had the cacio pepe with the fresh pasta. For dessert I had cookies to dip in wine. A good experience but perhaps not distinguishable from other restaurants that I've tried in Ariccia.

Osteria Mastro Titta is located in an ancient site in the heart of Ariccia. A tradional place where you can eat typical Roman food. Wi-fi and conditioned air inside. A large second floor suitable for parties and special events.
We were tempted in to this eatery by a waitress drawing our attention to their €15 set menu and we are so glad she did! The meal we had here was one of the best we ate on our Italian holiday: ricotta with honey; tomato...Morethank you so much! We hope to see you soon.

Dal Brigante Gasparone means the Brigand Gasparone who must have been a legendary figure in the area. The evening we dined here a representative selection of Rome's gangsters and their immodestly dressed molls chose the same venue. It was, to say the least, interesting. Tony Soprano and his mates would have been right at home.
But I digress, we came here for the food, not the crowd and let me say right now, the food was terrific. Simple home cooking of the slow food variety that Italians call "cucina povera" (poverty cuisine). That great Lazio speciality porchetta was being served and how could we pass it up? Porchetta is a pig whose tomach cavity is stuffed with fresh fennel, other herbs, cracked pepper and garlic cloves.then spit roasted over charcoal for 4-5 hours until its meat literally falls off its bones. Superb! This was accompanied by chicory cooked and then reheated in a pan with garlic, olive oil and chilli. For primi I had pappardelle al sugo di lepre Wide pasta ribbons with hare sauce), a mistake as the portion was so huge I needed help to finish it and so, not lose face with the locals.

We stayed in Ariccia for 10 days this summer and on our last day we decided to chose a seafood restaurant. We checked the reviews and decided for La Botte di Ferro and what an inspired decision. We arrived at the restaurant and we were impressed by the high quality presentation of the restaurant and Terrace. Even if we were 6 and we didn't have Reservations they were kind enough to set tables for us. We were delighted with the starters and the wine which were recommended by the owner. For main course we had grilled calamari and pasta which were something to go back for. But the highlight of the evening was the desert - an exceptional tiramisu..the best I had so far!!! The service throughout the evening was impeccable and they all spoke English, explaining all the dishes. It was nice to have had the dessert Menu explained and not written down.
All around it was a great experience. I highly recommend this unique restaurant in Ariccia and I want to thank the owner and the staff for making our last evening special.

My meal at this restaurant was unreal, I was so happy to come across this cosy place on my trip to Rome! The menu was easy for me to understand, considering I don't speak Italian! And the food arrived in very good time. I had bruschetta which was delicious, I then had the pumpkin risotto with some lovely smoked cheese and it was so fresh and flavoursome. I didn't really have room for dessert so shared a tiramisu with a friend - so glad I did because it was so tasty! I loved this place because I could taste how fresh everything was, it was relaxing, I didn't feel rushed at all and it was a nice atmosphere. Would recommend to locals and travellers!
