We went here for a breakfast. The food seemed nice but seriously hard to judge because of the flies. The tables were covered in them. The food was being swarmed. Not their fault but seriouslyI wanted to enjoy it but....Every table was the same. Wont be back. First place in Townsville with this problem.

We've now been to Thai Smile on two occasions and each time we've come away incredibly impressed. Not only is the food delicious, fresh and well presented, it comes at a budget price. Also impressed by the staff - always so friendly and helpful and also great to see some young kids being given a chance. Their young crew, whilst a little inexperienced and uncertain, remain friendly and polite and ever willing to help out and check on things. To be honest, given the quality and price, I'm surprised they're not packed out every time we visit. #DoYourselfAFavour!!!Hi Mark,Very humbled by your review. Some of our staff are young and learning, but feedback such as this encourages them to rise further. i will share this with our staff.Food wise, we aim to provide an authentic Thai experience, at a price that is affordable in the current economic environment. WOM (Word of mouth) and YELP (yell out loud people) is our best advertising we can afford, so we do encourage gossip about us. We hope to see you again soon. Cheers,Thai with a smile.
Where to eat Sushi food in Townsville: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Fresh home-made sushi and spring rolls. Healthy and affordable.
Hubby & I to the library upstairs & decided to have sushi for lunch. We couldnât find any substantial meal to eat from their menu coz there isnât much to chose from that doesnât have salmon in it. We settled for their teriyaki karaage chicken which is very nice, but, the rice is wet, and $6.00 for a 4 x tiny portions is quite pricey. Left the place still feeling quite âpeckishâ, so, we had some crackers & hummus as well. Regret to see "tiny portions" as the headline. Why not quote "their karaage chicken is very nice," instead? The portions in the pack are the same size as all cut sushi pieces. One would not expect two persons to fill up on one roll! This is hardly fair. The karaage is a premium roll with chicken thigh cutlet marinated in sake and spices and crispy fried. There are lower-cost alternatives. These include (besides the salmon) chicken chilli jam, california, crumbed chicken, satay beef, prawn and avocado, tempura prawn, tuna with avocado, tuna with cucumber, vegetarian, teriyaki chicken and softshell crab, not to mention the spring rolls in duck, pork or vegetarian, Curry Puffs, and the 3 styles of rice paper rolls. Not much to choose from, you say? Well, we are sorry for the experience you had that day.
