We went for lunch and although the choice is limited the food that was produced was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was perfect. Overall I would recommend Dax for any occasion.

Urbanity - all-day dining and coffee roastery in Smithfield, Dublin 7. Open for breakfast, lunch and coffee Monday - Friday. Wine bar with sharing plates Wednesday - Saturday evening. Brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
Wow! The food in Urbanity is incredible. It looks like a work of art, but more importantly, tastes incredible. We discovered it on TripAdvisor and the plaudits are well-deserved. They also roast their own coffee and it was also delicious. A must visit when in Dublin.

We are a small neighbourhood cafe with two great city centre location. One on 9A Lower Abbey Street, Dublin 1 and one at 23c Dawson Street, Dublin 2. We serve breakfast and lunch, with a strong focus on local produce and serve it with a Mediterranean/ Mid
Never had this kind of food before but decided to give it a try. Visited midweek at lunchtime and they were busy but very efficient. Had roasted red pepper soup that was spectacular! Dh had a wrap with chicken and all the fixings. Was also delicious! Would visit again! The restaurant is very small but it was a nice day so we got takeaway and ate in the park!

I live in the area but never tried this place- I was looking forward to and we had the sharing menu. Honestly it was really basic and pretty bland. I think its far too highly rated. Also the dining room is dated and cramped. The waiting staff were nicejust a bit inexperienced by the looks of things. I wont be back.Hello Orphan_Andy,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're very sorry to hear about your experience at Konkan. As you can see from our previous reviews, this is not a regular occurrence at our establishment. We take pride in the fact that we try to provide the best dining experience and reading your review greatly disappoints us as well. We will pass this review on to the chefs so they may be informed of this incident. If you would like to get in touch with us privately to give us more feedback, please feel free to do so.Kind regards,The team at Konkan
I went for dinner at 19.30. There was no evidence of the restaurant being open. There was nobody to greet me and direct me to a table. The food at the carvery counter looked to be finished. I hung around for a while, and the chef came out of the kitchen and confirmed that he was open for business. I was the only customer. He have me a menu. Ten minutes later nobody had asked me what food I had selected- so I went back to the kitchen door and waited until the chef saw me there. As I returned to my seat a waitress shouted at me if I wanted a drink. This is no way to provide hospitality.
