Amazing food, super tasty and very fair priced. Super fresh ingredients. Had the Popeye Salad with grilled Goats Cheese, Bacon and spinach and added some Avocado. The staff was amazingly friendly and I could even park my bike on the side. I will definitely come back.

CASA MARIETA is a Centenary Restaurant since 1892 placed on Placa Independencia in Girona , 2 minutes from âOld Townâ. Close to the welcome touristic information centre, to public and private parking, and. We are specialized in market cuisine, traditional
Went here because it was one of the few places open on Sunday night and our BnB owner told us it was like having dinner made by your grand mother. Thatâs only true if your grandmother was a bad cook - mine wasnât (RIP Grams). Food was solidly mediocre and this place is clearly coasting on location and reputation. On the plus side, it was open on Sunday night (I know, I already said that), the servers were nice, and it wasnât too expensive. Overall though, Iâd skip it.

Very good selection of local draft, cans and bottles. All served very fresh. Adam, the owner, is very knowledgeable and friendly and speaks English. Visited here both nights while in Girona and would definitely visit again if I ever return to the city.

Sadly, this didnât work for us. I ordered the burger but it was undercooked - pink inside and only just warm. Weird because they had plenty of time to cook it properly because we had some tapas to start our meal. Sorry, I cannot eat undercooked, verging on raw burger meat and so most was left on the plate. The other two main dishes for my family were just about okay but really nothing special. In Britain I would have discussed this with the staff. But because we speak very little Spanish, we reluctantly accept that itâs too much hassle trying to rectify issues like this. The truth is that this should have been right first time, the burger should have been hot and properly cooked - checked before it was popped in the bun with the relish and extras. We just pay up and move on, not letting these hiccups spoil an otherwise happy day.In any event, the young man who began serving us seemed less than engaged with his job and the waitress was not much better. It was about 3:30pm and they both behaved as if it had been a looooong day for them both and were far from hooked up on delivering any kind of decent customer service. So not terribly promising when assessing whether to raise the matter of undercooked food. Better to move on!The location is nice enough and thatâs about all I can say on the positive side really. I struggle to reconcile this with many of the other TripAdvisor reviews. Our visit felt like it was a typical tourist low quality, low service operation. But others on this forum had a lovely time. Just shows how variable service can be (and perhaps our own expectations?).My advice is that this is good for drinks due to the location but better to keep searching as I think you will find a better light lunch cafe somewhere else in Girona. Not recommended.ArianneFirst of all, Arianne, thank you very much for your long comment.Regarding the burger, the customer is always asked if he wants it raw, to the point or made and, if it does not come to taste, talking to the waiter is changed. It's a shame that for lack of understanding you left with a poor opinion of the restaurant. As for the service I am very sorry that you felt poorly taken care of. I'll talk to the room manager to see who was on duty that day and improve customer service.I'm so sorry for your bad experience. Nibble is not only open to tourism and our main customer all year round (except July and August) is the local population. We treat all our customers with the same attention and care.If you give us a new opportunity we will show you all that Nibble can offer.Sincerely,

We cycled to La Fabrica this time around. It still has great coffee and pastries and beautiful bicycles standing outside. Still in the beautiful old city of Girona with its wonderful character. We didnt see any famous pro cyclists. Its still brilliant three years after we first went.

Chose this bistro from reviews and emphasis on fresh ingredients, with good vegetarian options. Arrived without a reservation, at a busy lunchtime. The limited number of street tables were occupied, so we had an aperitif inside, and were then taken to an outside table after only about 10 minutes. Food excellent, and good value. Will go again, next time in Girona - i.e. next week.Thank you for you opinion! We hope to see you again.
