We are a place of healthy food in the historical center of Quetzaltenango, where you will find drinks and fresh, varied ando nutritions food, and a good coffeeor a good chocolate. We hav live music on weekends and other artistic activities.
This was my latest discovery in Quetzaltenango, a two floor coffee shop very near the central square, where you can enjoy a peaceful environment, with photos and paintings inspired in natural features. The menu is varied and offers delicious choices of sandwiches and pastries made with natural ingredients. This is a good place to read, to meet with friends, to have healthy food and drinks. Internet is free and young staff behind the bar are friendly and efficient. On weekends there is live music, presentations of new music records, books or exhibits. Rapidly becoming the trendy place to be in Xela.

Here I Quedo is a functioning business model born of Clowns / METOCA Association , an NGO dedicated to social transformation and defense of human rights, from artistic, playful, from the public debate for structural change, aimed at improving the quality
Aquà Me Quedo has delivered on their promise to bring gourmet food out of the restaurant and into the your home. Not only are their menu options, customer service, and food quality on par with any high end restaurant, but they deliver the food directly to your family at your door. I have ordered food from Aquà Me Quedo on several occasions since they opened for service in late 2014. Each of the dishes that I have ordered was clearly prepared with care and an attention to detail that I have never seen in delivery service. I would recommend Aquà Me Quedo to families or individuals looking for delicious, in-home meals without the hassle of cooking.

We are the best sushi place in town, made with fresh vegetables and seafood, we prepare it in our sushi bar with great service and quality.
Zakennayo is located a few minutes from Parque Central. The staff are very friendly and are eager to improve its restaurant. Most of the sushi they offer aren't traditional like California and Philadelphia rolls, but they are good. There are still a lot of rooms to improve like the use of dashi for miso soup, but this place is a good option to dine out in Xela.

Mandarina is a small bakery-cafe in the heart of Xela with vegan and gluten free options. We offer breakfast and lunch all day, including smoothie bowls, bacon breakfast, vegan breakfast, scrambled eggs, scrambled tofu. healthy bagels, wraps, huge salads
I ordered tofu scramble breakfast, and I could not believe how large the meal was. Tofu scrambled with onion, garlic and kale served with grilled tomatoes, mashed avocado, roasted potatoes and yummy whole wheat toast. It was delicious. They serve Kombucha. I also took a couple of "pocket rockets" home for later! The patio is quite cute and sunny, although small. I noticed a lot of gluten free cookies, breads and cupcakes... so if that is your thing, this might be the place. Excellent service as well.

I do not understand how this place has so many good reviews! From inside it looks like Mc Donalds and it smells extremely like fried food. By the time you leave your hair will smell horrible. The burrito was very average and to charge 10 Q for a table spoon of guacamole is ridicolous. Very bad experience!Hi Miriam! We appreciate you taking the time to write. First let me say I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience. We just put a new industrial fryer in the restaurant, and it's still not in its final placement. So the fried food smell is spot on. Sorry that it ruined your experience. As for why the restaurant has so many good reviews, I would hope it's due to what the food stands for, promoting fair trade organic produce from local farmers, paying fair wages to staff, and generally, a nice dining experience. Apparently we didn't meet the mark with you though, and so we apologize sincerely. Hope you'll give us another shot some day, and regardless, thank you for supporting Guatemala's first socially responsible fast food restaurant!
