The restaurant looks great from the outside but unfortunately this was not a guarantee for a good meal as well... We ordered some cocktails (that looked average but tasted very well) and it took around 15 minutes before they reached our table. When ordering a second round, it took even longer but we were first even served the wrong cocktails (belonged apparently to the table next to us). The food was OK (very average compared to the other delicious meals we had in neighboring restaurants) but also took a very long time. They also forgot to place the order of 1 of the people at our table and when we told the waiter he bluntly said it was our fault for not ordering it... so the meal came 15 minutes after the other two people were done eating. Also the bill took a very very VERY long time...Overall: nice atmosphere, average food and lousy service. Not a place I would recommend to go to in Pokhara. Hello EliseDem, thank you for taking time out to review Anaki. We are the first Naga restaurant in Pokhara giving people to explore the diverse culture and cuisine from Nagaland(India). We work on a small team as a family and try our best to give a homely and relaxing atmosphere and The day you visited Anaki was the New Year Eve of Nepal so with limited team members we tried to give the best service but completely take responsibility of delay in orders and billing, at the same time foods here are cooked fresh every single time and we avoid frozen food culture for which our food orders takes bit more time tan expected. Also billings are done manually so with busy bar on that particular day it did got late. Every single restaurant put in their effort to serve best food and service and it does emply many people and support their families so we hire local staff and teach most of the things by our own so highly trained staffs can only be found in fancy well organized dining hotels. But we feel sorry for all the inconvenience you went through. Thank you ones again for visiting us.

The BocaÃto Español is a very special corner in a place full of magic, with some sunsets that make you mourn of emotion. I can only say "thanks to life for giving me this gift...to bring a little piece of Spain, to the land that has fallen me in love...
When looking for a specific dish, I met the owner on her way out. She stopped and we met each other's eyes and it just took a second for us to recognize each other. We spoke as if we've been friends before because I think we have been. And she was kind enough to make the exact dish I was searching for even though it was not on the menu. The chef had studied culinary arts in India. So everything aligned the day I paused to look at the menu at this lovely place with a spectacular view of the lake. Upstairs brings you closer to enlightenment and is well worth the visit as there is a spiral staircase going up.

Nice staff (not very talkative) and good food, however, took a solid 45mins to be served (a salad and porridge) eventhough we were literally the only two people in the cafe. After about 40mins a new customer came in and got her food served within minutes. Right next to the amusement park so lots of loud musicDear Sophia, The chef did tell you in person the porridge was 10 minutes away from being cooked ( he states you said that was fine??? Yet you weren't fine at all and feel you were very slighted by us) after he served the second customer with just a muesli. Sorry you got offended by another customer being served with a meal that takes 5 minutes to prep and make. It is very upsetting for my Nepali staff to make a meal of your choosing and condemn them on here for doing nothing wrong. The sweetcorn dried chips used the make the sweetcorn porridge does take time. 30 minutes.cooking time 40 minutes total with preparation. If you don't believe me check out the timings on the Internet....Total cooking time 40 minutes. ( check out sweetcorn porridge with blackberries we how ever use local fruits instead so that takes a little extra) we do have notes in the menus and on our black board that some things take time as they are freshly cooked. It's not possible to make that dish in 15 or 20 minutes. It would have been more gracious of you towards the staff if only you'd been honest when given the opportunity by the chef about the timings. Most dried sweetcorn meals takes at least an hour or two. I can also not be held accountable for the noise of another business as it is festival time and during those periods it is noisy in Pokhara. You say Basanta the chef wasn't talkative to you. He did speak to you about the things he needed to. On the other hand he does have a job to do which is being the chef ..I'll remind you, you were in the company of a male and for a good well brought up Nepali male like Basanta to chat you up, with you in the company of someone who could have been your husband or boyfriend in his eyes is just not polite as he's a married man himself and it just isn't done as he would not want to be accused of chatting you up in the company of another man.
