Authentic Mexican food, served quick and fresh. Real food, cooked from scratch, learned over the years from my Mom at our taco stand in Mexico City. It doesnât get any better!
Lovely folks, very unlovely chicken tacos. I ordered chicken tacos but was not asked to choose between different kinds and received what tasted like plain boiled chicken in a 100% tasteless white sauce. Nothing Mexican tasting about it. I drowned everything in a mildly acceptable sort of salsa but was only able to eat one. My two lunch guests had a similar reaction; one took only one bite and left her meal uneaten, also found a bone in the first bite. My son felt bad for the staff and ate his tacos also drowned in salsa or he would not have been able to eat it. Who puts plain white rice in their tacos? All three of us received the white pasty sauce even though only one of us had ordered it. We were all too stunned to say anything but I'm mad at myself now for not giving immediate feedback. Extremely disappointed.Good Afternoon Michael,Thank you for your review. I am surprised that you did not say anything to the staff who were working. I know that if my experience in a restaurant was as bad you say yours was, I would never have paid for my meal and I would most definitely have spoken to the staff. The Pollo a la Crema is a pulled chicken in a mild cream sauce with caramelized onions and poblano peppers. Mexican food is not necessarily spicy or heavily seasoned. Tex Mex food, on the other hand can be made this way. I will need to contact my supplier about any bones in the meat as our chicken is boneless and skinless. We pull our chicken by hand and am surprised that it could have been missed. Having said that, we will definitely look into this. Please accept our sincerest apologies for your visit and I would invite you to come back and speak with our Chef so that he can make it right for you. We take pride in our food and our restaurant and take this review very seriously.

Went to The Monaghan Cafe for brunch today and it exceeded expectations. Loved the retro environment, simple and clean decor with some cool artwork. Food was amazing: I had the Maryland breakfast which is eggs benny on homemade crab cakes- not store bought. Poached eggs on top and a fresh greens garden salad on the side. Even added a small mug of smoothie included with the meal. Reasonable price and excellent friendly service. Will go back for sure. We are long past the baby stage of life but shoutout for having a change table in the downstairs washroom, very accommodating if someone has a baby with them.

The Silver Bean Café is located in Millennium Park in Peterborough, Ontario. Since 2003, we have offered an experience of food and coffee near the Otonabee River. We call it âyour waterfront cottage in the cityâ because the Silver Bean Café is a community
Silver Bean Cafe makes me happy. The setting is superb - on the water with all the feeling of relaxation that brings, delicious and healthy food, vegan options and even a play area for little ones. I am new to The Silver Bean although it has been doing its magic for many years. I am already wondering what I will do when this little piece of paradise closes for the winter.

Consistent fresh menu items with delicious variety. Not your usual cafe fare. A little pricey, but often worth it.

Based on TA reviews, the Dragon Yan was recommended as THE place to go in Peterborough for Chinese food in an intimate setting. It was !The small restaurant seats approx. 24 at well-spaced tables - no booths. Service was efficient and our orders came out within 10 minutes. Eggs rolls were hot, crispy and delicious. Our lunch included the chicken-vegetables-almond-rice combo and the lo mein combo (noodles !!, chicken fried rice, chicken, mushrooms, ...), both of which were fantastic. Substantial servings and well presented.Definitely going back. $ 40. for two incl. soft drinks, HST & gratuities.

I am not vegan, or even vegetarian, but I like to look for local vegan restaurants when Iâm in different towns to avoid the usual âfast foodâ lunches and the over-processed, preservative-loaded places. I love this place! Take-out or dine in, it is fairly quick. Really yummy selection of smoothies and kombucha. Anything Iâve had off the menu is super flavourful and there are always nice daily specials to choose from. I find it to be on the more expensive side for casual lunch, but I always leave perfectly full without feeling weighed down, bloated or like I over-ate.

Always fresh & homemade. Cooked to order, just for you, on the moment. Nothing frozen, nothing industrial. Different. All about detail. Personalized service. Affordable. Local products. Kids welcomed. Downtown. Beautiful private patio. Caterings. Events.
We had a really good experience over lunch as the dishes and service were excellent. It was a little lenghty, almost an hour and a half - we were not in a rush, as everything is made from scratch but worth it. The olives, fresh hot baguette served with infused olive oil were appreciated. The lentil salad was outstanding and the lentil soup with chorizo was pretty good. The pisto stew and artichoke tapas were excellent. The house red wine (LAN) and cuisine are worth spending time over conversation to enjoy.

I love Indian food, but the food here, was not very flavorful. The samosas and naan bread were good though. Service was friendly. I strongly recommend against serving the Peterborough tap water on the table at all. Please find another solution - that tap water is disgusting and does not belong on any table.
