Things to do in Newcastle

We are Newcastle's landmark cafe and a symbol of it's healthy lifestyle. We deliver a menu filled with the freshest seasonal ingredients that will leave you feeling good. We're always looking for a unique way of doing things and we believe we can deliver
My food was good, albeit at relatively low value for the quantity served. A couple of our group (two out of nine had to send back food that did not fit with the dietary quirks outlined to the waitstaff) were less happy. Our coffees were as ordered and relatively good.Service by the waitstaff was quite "set and forget" ... i.e. once the orders were taken, we hardly saw them again. Some of the waitstaff seemed to stop and spend a lot of time chit-chatting with known patrons or 'regulars' rather than being equitable and efficient with their time on this busy Sunday morning. The Blue Door gets a lot of patrons and must be part-due to a lot of TV and cinema advertising in recent years. I don't think I'd go back unless I could get an inside seat ... even on a Sunday, the street noise and some inner city building works interfered with the concept of 'quiet enjoyment'

At The Autumn Rooms we strive to keep it fresh, local, in season and super tasty. Food, coffee & tea is our thing with breakfast and lunch served all day. We are a relaxed, casual fine dining restaurant in the evening where you can expect to hear soft Jaz
Prior to eating at The Autumn Rooms, my routine was as follows; find a park on Darby St, then eat at the closest cafe - they're all pretty good right? Right. But this above pretty good and is my new go to! A stand out in one of the better cafe strips around. If you're hungry The Autumn Rooms Big Breakfast is outstanding, and you can 100% taste where the extra few dollars go (compared to the average $18-$21 big breaky). The quality produce shines. Honorable mention to the B&E roll which I usually finish for my partner, the wonderful service, and of course THE COFFEE!It's going to take something special in Darby St to alter my new routine :)Wow! Thanks for the great review! Darby street is so great especially with new 2 hour parks! So glad to be part of your daily routine â¤ï¸âï¸ Ben & Bec

Casual relaxed atmosphere, fresh food influenced by the flavours of the Middle East Morrocco and Spain. Premium Specialty coffee. Breakfast and lunch 7 Days Tagine and BYO Night Thursdays Private function enquiries welcome
My wife and I, and our 2 little mini sausage dogs, came here on Friday morning for a late breakfast. Seated outside in the shade with a cooling ocean breeze we enjoyed a lovely meal with quick friendly service. Quality produce, plenty of flavours, and a Middle Eastern influence in generous proportions make this quaint city cafe a standout. And the coffee is first rate. Definitely recommended

Following in Srila Prabhupada's (the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), popularly the Hare Krishna movement) footsteps, The Bhakti Tree is a place where everyone can take shelter from the madness of the material world
Been here many times to enjoy very tasty vegetarian southern Indian-style food, having both the all-you-can-eat buffet and the a-la-carte both on regular nights and their special "banquet" nights. Food is always tasty, plentiful and amazingly cheap as well as healthy-eating. Friendly staff that makes the overall experience one you'll want to continually come back to - as we do. Can recommend the Masala Dosa: compares favorably to the best I've had after eating in very many Indian restaurants.
