Beautiful food. Stunning environments. Engagingly delivered. tashas began with one store in Atholl, Johannesburg. Now we have locations across South Africa and in the UAE. Each tashas is a little bit the same and a little bit different making each store u
We love Tasha's and regularly patronise their Rosebank and Melrose Arch branches for brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert etc. Our experience at their sandton store, however, left much to be desired. A friend and I popped in for dessert after our meal elsewhere. Service was totally indifferent and one cake had way too much coconut essence in it. Neither the waiter nor the manager seemed concerned about this. My coffee arrived warm rather than hot and the overall experience was just so disappointing that I feel we should avoid all Tashas for a while.

Sophia's Bistro has been going for over 25 years of which 5 of those years have been in its new location Illovo Square. Under new management since 03/2016 Sophia's is staying true to its roots of good food at a good price. We look forward to welcoming bac
Had the pleasure of going to Sophias Bistro last week. They had a local artist singing in the background on a Wednesday which apparently happens every Wednesday.Waiter was very well trained, was not too attentive and annoying but also not absent the whole night. Waiter was around when we needed him. Also big plus is they leave the plates until everyone is done eating rather than rushing all the plates off while I am still taking my last bite. The variety of food was really good and something that will appeal to everyone. Portion size was generous and not small servings which left me full. Food was amazing and would suggest spaghetti marco polo or the zuppe de pesce.Fresh bread served before eating is amazing and would return just for that.overall great experience and will return.Hi AndrewThanks so much for your lovely review and we are all pleased you enjoyed your evening. I have passed on your comments to my staff and Philippe (the singer) also. We look forward to your next visit in the near futureSimon, Aureen and The Sophia's Bistro team

Situated on the corner of Saint Andrew St & Wrenrose Avenue in Birdhaven shopping centre, this sunny glass fronted restaurant brings new life to an old row of shops. The decor exudes a back to basics concept, with its tables made out of reclaimed aluminium
We has coffee here - the restaurant offers tables on the sidewalk, inside as well as outside. The feeling is unique although understatedService is friendly, coffee is strong and it was a good experience. It's nice an quiet on Sunday afternoons if you're looking for a nice spot to catch-up. The restaurant is also dog friendly with a couple of options on the menu for the four-legged friends.A nice vibe and restaurant in the areaHi Ryamarim - thank you for your rating and kind review. What can we do to improve so that you can give us a full 5* rating the next time you come and visit us?
