We enjoyed delicious ham, eggs and chips followed by equally delicious apple pie served by friendly, smiling staff. And we were fascinated by the story told on the menu of the history of the building, including the fact that for many years there was a public footpath which went right through it and which was used by funeral processions going to the church. Now internally it is light and bright with an ideal ambience for a relaxing lunch. To be recommended.

We had truly amazing waffles, the banoffee one was so gorgeous. The service was great, the location was just round from the church.

Found this by accident, looking for a 'light lunch'. We had a pulled pork sandwich and tuna baguette. Came with loads of really tasty salad and coleslaw. Food was all delicious and portions are huge, definitely not light! Only downside, coffee at £2 per cup, I know this is average but cups are very small. A mug would be better value. Certainly a hidden gem.
