This was a fantastic find. Thanks Trip Advisor. Another score. Breakfast was great. Had the eggs Benny. Very well done. Loved the decor and the mismatched coffee mugs, like you were stopping at a friends place. Staff were very friendly. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Barrie. Need breakfast?? Go here. Had a wonderful meal at the Local Gastropub this weekend. Went with friends to check out the new plant based menu. Food was fantastic!!! Even the dressing on the house salad was impressive and had us guessing at ingredients. Deep fried cauliflower, onion rings, "fish" and chips, "pulled pork" on a bun (the buns are bought locally and are amazing) and my favourite: deep fried Mac and Cheese. Chef never fails to impress. Reasonable prices, good portions, excellent service, great beer.... What could be better? PS... Beautiful, clean, welcoming, fresh, tasty, fairly priced...But each salad is tossed in a big plastic bag that goes straight to trash. Please wash a reusable bowl instead!!Aside from that a fabulous fresh lunch. Thank you for posting the nutritional info on a sign by the cash of your dressings. Keto friendly lunch!Thanks for the review! Keto is definitely a big trend these days and we love how we're helping our customers stay on track while on the go for lunch or dinner. As for the bags, we would love to find an environmentally friendly bag and have been on the lookout for some time. Any product we have found has been very pricey and we do not want to charge our customers more. If you ever see something that would fit the bill, please let us know and we'll gladly take a look.
