This is a quick-serve, counter service place at a strip mall. It features local favorite dishes like loco moco and more. There are tables for those who wish to dine in, first come first serve. The dining area has ceiling fans, but I don't recall any AC. In the evening when we arrived, there was a daunting queue, almost out the front door. Recommended for those looking for quick, quality local food in a casual setting. Tip: try going in off-hours to avoid crowds.Aloha,Thank you for the detailed and accurate review. We do offer a dinning area, but it does fill up quickly at times. Please stop in on your next trip here.Mahalo,Kent H. AotakiManager

fresh - local - family owned Cafe O'Lei Kihei is Maui's go to place for fresh seafood, sushi, steaks, and fresh locally-sourced cuisine. Served in a casual but elegant location in the heart of Kihei next to the beach.
Wow the food was great, so was the service! All four in our party really enjoyed our meals! Nice atmosphere to sit relax and enjoy a good meal.

Live bands play on the stage as you eat in an open air restaurant. I had the chicken and waffles which were very good along with the hand cut fries. The crab cake burger thing was just ok (probably wouldn't get again). They have infused water for free and open seating. Would definitely come back and enjoy the music again.

Itâs probably better based on the reviews, but it wasnât this day. The help was less than friendly, and our first try at ono fish and chips wasnât fresh (itâs usually great we found out elsewhere). Maybe on a better day with a friendlier staff would do better. This clearly seems to be a local favorite, but it was disappointing for us - the food trucks were better and nicer too.

Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman is a place where foodies, beer lovers, and families escape the stresses of their day-to-day lives by enjoying an ice-cold beer and a great meal while surrounded by people who consider them honored guests and friends. Our rest
The food was marvelous, as were the drinks. The service was slick and pleasant. It's most pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the view. All in all, a delightful lunch.

My husband and I went to Cuatros with another couple (BYO Wine for a $10 corking fee).Crab Cakes appetizer super tiny (4) crab cakes to share and steak app kinda tough and bloody that nonetheless could not fill any size person. All of us got the nightly fish special that came with rice and a couple of green beans for the price of $39.99! Granted we brought our own wine, but to pay that much then go home and still be hungry after apps and a meal? We are locals, brah, wha??Suffice to say we will not make a return visit. Sorry.

Serving up "ALOHA," all day long. We pride ourselves with preparing our meals fresh everyday, homemade sauces, organic farm to table salads, in house roasted macadamia nuts and your order cooked individually for you while you wait. Just a 100 yds away fro
Very friendly and prompt service. The mahi mahi was generously-sized and served with brown rice and a nice salad (with feta, nuts, seeds and a light dressing). The lemon and dill sauce was really tasty too. A tasty and very satisfying meal at a friendly establishment. Conveniently there is foil at the front so you can take away and keep your meal warm.

Born and raised on the Island and visited Kula Lodge a few times. 30+ years later and I was not impressed. Our server was far from polite or accommodating. She seemed to ignore our table quite frequently and tended to the tourist. The food portions are small compared to other competitors and not as tasty. We had to flag her down for coffee or water refills and each time she seemed agitated.Very disappointed as I have not been back home in almost a decade and we are treated as if we are not able to afford this luxury of a meal. It wasn't what I remembered it to be so no lost on my part and at least I know I won't be returning. Just a comment, it's not what it use to be so to me, no lost as I won't be returning in the future. Only positive, view outside the back of Restaurant.
