This place was crazy bad on service.First... this place wasnât busy, yet it took 30 minutes to get food ordered. Second... the server at the window kept on disappearing. Although we didnât say anything, others in the queue were very vocal in their disapproval.Third... they took the order wrong. We ordered a Spencer with fries, drink, salad and veggie with fries and salad. This is what we repeated back to the server. What arrived was a Shem burger _without_ fries. Wrong burger. The restaurants error and they REFUSED TO PUT IT RIGHT. âI am not the managerâ is not an excuse - find the manager. âYou can stand in line and order your friesâ is also not acceptable when the queue is 30 minutes long. The correct way is you bring out the missing order.Itâs a shame we canât take the tip back, because we certainly didnât get the service or food we requested.Bottom line ... we would not go back. Just not worth it.

Kaya's Kitchen is the only place on this island to get home made "butter mochi"... we stumbled into this little local, general store... and there it was...BUTTER MOCHI!the owner has been there for a few generations, which she gives this place character... she is super friendly, knows anything from the area, waters, climate and good eats...

It is listed on Yelp and serves good, affordable fare
We were told about this place from the hotel valet and it was a great suggestion. The garlic shrimp served with rice and a tossed salad was fantastic. My husband got the hamburger steak which he said was good, but could have used more seasoning. Great value for the money.

Tita's Grill, Is a family friendly, local Hawaiian style food truck eatery. Drive up, park and order straight from our window. We offer take out, or you can have a seat on our outdoor picnic tables and eat Ohana style. Make friends, share aloha and enjoy
Try Tita's grill bread, it is so yummy and filling. One slice is great, one loaf, even better. Toasted, sandwich, dunk in hot cocoa, limitless ways to enjoy this loaf of bread. Come back anytime for more of our fresh baked bread. Mahalo!

Iâm pretty sure itâs not the same place as in the movie. It looks completely different. The views from the windows are definitely different. Itâs seat yourself breakfast comfort food. The service was really friendly and accommodating for kids. Other than that, itâs nothing to right home about. If you want breakfast itâll fill the void, but I wouldnât go out of my way to eat here. Cash only, but they have an ATM in the restaurant.

This restaurant is one of the few sit down restaurants on the North Shore. Food trucks seems to be the go to. It is located adjacent to the Polynesian Cultural Center. BE ADVISED...the local area, which seems to respect the huge Mormon presence, ie BYU Hawaii campus and the Mormon temple..is DRY. They do not sell nor serve alcoholl at this restaurant or even sell it at the local supermarket. So there is no bar. We had great service from Ploy and that was appreciated. We started with a bacon, grape ranch salad and it was good size and served both us. My wife and I ordered the Macadamia Nut Mahi...what a disappointment...I am not even sure we got mahi. The fish we got was dark, dense and fishy. We had Mahi at the Turtle Bay resort 2 days later and it was flaky, white and fresh. To add insult to injury, the steamed vegetable accompanying the meal were lukewarm. The best sit down meals are at Turtle Bay. They have a bar. You pay a bit more, but the quality is there.

This place was great and friendly, we were visiting a friend in Hawaii and we came upon this place and we sat down and ate steak and eggs. OMG the steak melted in my mouth, and the gentlemen came out and talked with us and gave us a loaf of bread that was out of this world. We game back every day that we were there to eat. They gave us chocolate/rice drink that went very well with your meal or by itself. I tried to find out how the bread was made, but thats a Hawaiian Secrete. I just finished the last of the bread here in Florida and my friends asked me where I got it, Hawaii. They cook with their heart, and do a good job. Enjoy your meal and the company. You too will brag :-)

The Garlic Chicken was the best I've ever had. If you are looking for a "fine dining" experience, ambience, etc. this is not the place. This local eatery has outdoor picnic tables in the parking lot but serves the best food around. Extremely generous portions, fresh and hot with tasty seasonings. It soon became one of our "go to" places while we were in Hauula. Can't wait to get back!
