I really liked this place. It is a chain, but it serves local fare. They served large quantities and good quality and the prices are very reasonable for Hawaii. Loved the pork and cabbage bowl. When I got home, I looked the restaurant up online and found we have one not so far away! Woohoo! I am hoping the menu is the same here as in Oahu.

Baldwins had good shave ice and snacks but I'll rate their shave ice only. The shave ice is good, but I wouldn't rate it among the top 5 on the island. Now that doesn't discourage me from stopping here if I want shave ice and I'm in the area because I am a shave ice freak.

Serving delicious Puerto Rican and Hawaiian food with passion and a smile is a top priority at Jackie's Diner in Aiea, HI. No one on the island combines authentic dishes with top-notch service and excellent prices quite like them. Open for lunch and dinne
I wish Trip Advisor's rating system was on a 10 scale so we could be a little more specific with our ratings. Sometimes a place can get stuck between stars and this is a perfect example. So if I have to make up my own rating, then it would have to be a 3.5 stars for this place. It's good local food at a reasonable price, which is great for working people trying to feed their families on a budget. But budget or not, it's still a good place to eat.

The restaurant is located with many other businesses in a plaza. I had the UH Sports Special: Kiawe Steak, Garlic Chicken, Ahi, a slice of ham, macaroni salad, and 2 scoops of garlic mashed potatoes (rice is the other option). The portion is huge and all of the food was very good. I'm glad I stuck with finding this place, instead of choosing another when I didn't see it the first 2 times I drove by.

We came here for lunch and greatly enjoyed our Hawaiian food.We started with a plate of sweet pickled onions. I donât normally like plain pickled onions but the taste was milder than I expected. The shoyu poke was good and a decent portion. My kalua moco came in a large bowl with a heaping portion of rice, kalua pig covered with beef stew sauce and two sunny side up eggs. It was a surprisingly good dish. We also go the combo plate with kalua pig, ribs and Lomi Lomi salmon. The haupia was a nice wrap up to our lunch.Service was very friendly.A definite repeat.

We made two recent trips to Shiroâs Saimin Heaven in Aiea. The restaurant is in a strip mall in Aiea, with plenty of parking. We went for dinner and ordered saimin. It was excellent. There are over 60 varieties of saimin. They also have some main dishes and sandwiches. We also ordered French fries with gravy and a teriyaki burger. Both very good. We decided to go back for breakfast. I ordered the chicken katsu loco moco. The katsu chicken was over fried, nearly burnt. The fried rice was chock full of shredded char siu pork, a flavor I did not like. Service was friendly both times but I wouldnât go for breakfast.

Just a small, local corner restaurant that we definitely go back to! Local island friends suggested this place to us; and we were in the area, it was convenient, so we stopped. Itâs a small, simple, local restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch menus throughout the day; with 50s decor. Service was fantastic; and the food-in our opinion, was just as good as the service. They offered traditional as well as local islander food on their menu.

Conveniently located next to the Arizona Memorial Visitor center, it's the perfect place for military families, local residents or visitors who are just passing through to enjoy a quality meal with a breathtaking view and world class service. Don't forget
Was in the area and this was by far the highest rated place to eat on TripAdvisor. Had fish and chips, also went for the garden salad add in for only $5.00 so a bargain! Had an âArnold Palmerâ (half tea, half lemonade)â, the drink was the worst part of the meal.Overall a fun place to be, think roof top sports bar with better food. As mentioned multiple times, very nice views. If looking for a cold drink and some lunch or dinner, I do not think you will be disappointed.

I have been dreaming to eat at this place ever since I saw it on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" and it did not disappoint. I had the boneless Kalbi ribs as an appetizer and the famous Ox Tail Soup as an entree. YES, Kalbi ribs can be an appetizer!! The garlic fries were also amazing. I had no room for dessert. Will be dreaming of this place until I return!!
