Things to do in Santa Catarina Palopo
Pana's first craft brewery location, serving in-house beers made on-site. Enjoy by the pint, flight, or take some home in a growler. Enjoy with fresh popcorn, or order food from our cafe down the street or just bring your own from one of the many close-by
Alex and Melvin were phenomenal to us during our visit. These two young employees from Pana specifically fired up the popcorn machine for us, provided samples (including a chocolate coffee flavour that Alex had thought up), and eagerly told us all about the 9-month-old brewery. The beer was great and so was the company.

We were 10 for lunch. Three of us arrived early and asked if they could put together tables for 10 or 12. No problem. While waiting we enjoyed big liquados (fresh fruit drinks--melon, strawberry, and banana). The others were delayed so we ordered and enjoyed main courses that included rice with vegetables and fresh, steamed veggies as sides--plus excellent guacamole. Each dinner was 35 Quetzales or about US$5.00. The total bill for 10 people was $70--including drinks. We will definitely return the next time we are in Panajachel.

The idea behind Atlantis was to offer something totally different, a little more bohemian and dynamic, with a beautiful garden, where you can enjoy nature everyday in a fresh and comfortable environment. At night, when the lights are turned on, the atmosp
Situated at the end of the main drag. Very quiet on a Sunday night. We had pizzas, fish and chips and burgers, which were all pretty good quality but more expensive than other places we had tried. None if the cheapest beer options available. Overall average, nothing special.

Cafe Moka is a local Coffee Shop in Panajachel Lake Atitlan Guatemala, Guatemala is Famous for Coffee and Cafe Moka provides an authentic experience and taste of the finest locally grown Coffee. Cafe Moka is located on the main street in Panajachel above the street in a nice launch atmosphere, great views, pool tables and food. The staff are friendly and provide great service at reasonable prices. From iced coffee to a selection of Local Beers and desserts. Enjoy
There are 2 restaurants side by side on the first floor of the building to the right of the boat landing - this one and Restaurant Palopo (which was closed when we there). We had a typical and adequate but not stellar Huevos Rancheros for Q30 including coffee that was OK. One unusual aspect was blue corn tortillas (though they weren't super tasty). The front has great views over the lake and the back is shady with a nice outlook over gardens and the hills. Hit the spot for us - and a large Guatemalan family was clearly enjoying their fish platters and ice cream sundaes at 9am! - when little else was open but walk another 80 yards or so to Cafe Tuk if you want excellent coffee.

Nominated by Travel + Leisure; "World's Best Awards 2011".This charming hacienda-style hotel is a formerworking coffee farm situated on the shores of Lake Atitlan, with a picture perfect view of volcanoes San Pedro, Tolimán and Atitlan. Highlighting numer
I went to Hotel Atitlan for drinks and dinner. The bartender was attentive and the drink menu is extensive. The dinner menu consists of Guatemalan and international dishes, so travelers from all over should be able to find something suitable to eat. Wonderful dessert menu to top it all off! Guatemala is not known for its cuisine, but this restaurant makes up for it with top-notch service, a beautiful view, nice ambiance, and a good selection.

This restaurant (and hotel) is right on Lake Atitlan. If you come by boat there is a dock by the hotel â just walk up the path a few hundred yards and itâs on your right. They have both indoor and outdoor seating where the outdoor seating is under a solid roof (overhang from the main building) and from here you have a great view of the hotel pool and lake. Itâs quite lovely. The décor makes great use of vibrant colors. They put bright colored cloth napkins in the water glasses making for a very colorful table setting. The food was very interesting and good, It was well presented, fresh tasting and well made. This is a very relaxing place to have a very good lunch (or dinner I suppose) in Santa Catarina Palopo. This restaurant is not cheap compared to other option on the main street in Pana, however, the quality they offer is superb and overall it is a good value for money and an exquisite alternative to barbecue meat which you cannot eat every day I guess. Very good also for breakfast. Try it, you wonât be disappointed. Service is also very good and attentive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with the Pinguino family. The show was educational and entertaining and the food was tasty. There were fun, interactive opportunities to be a part of the evening. For a heartfelt insightful Guatemalan experience, I highly recommend dining here.

Great breakfast place, popular with foreign travelers and expat residents. Lovely garden setting.
Went here because it was #1 on Trip Advisor. So either all the restaurants in Pana are crap or only crazy people have left reviews. Iâm hoping for the latter as I quest for a decent restaurant in Pana. There are two Jasmin Delis, we were directed to the one further up the road when the one closest to the lake was too full. The food was just OK, thatâs all I can say. The menu didnât look great, none of the pics looked that appetising. Maybe the one closer to the lake is better...
