We liked the food at Mayachik. Everyone was happy with smoothies, banana/ginger soup, guacamole, burritos and even the pizza was pretty good. Nothing fancy, but we love the all the veg options and the place had a chill vibe. That said, the lunch literally took 3 hours, which was more than we bargained for. I'd say its a great option if you're staying in one of the rooms here, but might not be so good for a casual lunch while visiting San Juan due to the long wait. The service was very friendly though so we didn't complain. The location is a little out of the way, near the road to San Pedro, but we liked that, it was an easy tuk tuk ride from anywhere.

Due to only having 1 server the restaurant offered very slow service, even in regards to just asking for the bill and receiving change etc. Also they allow people to smoke inside which is disgusting and not conducive to an enjoyable meal in my opinion. The place is quite dirty and the seating is uncomfortable with the place looking quite unsightly on the whole. Despite this, the food was of a good quality but an astounding quantity for what we paid!

Try anything on the menu and you will not be disappointed! The location is excellent and right by the water. This family run restaurant will draw you in and the only thing to do is return and try more delicious dishes. I showed up at Blind Lemon's for an early dinner to find a group of football (soccer) fans from UK and Canada relaxing on a comfortable sofa and chairs watching on a big screen TV the Manchester City vs ?? Eat/Drink/Game. Good time even though I know nothing about football. Blind Lemon's is comfortable and inviting.The menu is well rounded, something for everyone. I had an excellent chicken enchilada dish. I came back later to see if Carlos Funk would be there. Lucky me, he was.For the next couple evenings Carlos and I played the blues. You've got to check this place out!

I was here recently for a wedding and had a blast. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have incredible views overlooking the restaurant onto the lake. The restaurant is cozy with great, fresh food. Of course, it also has a stunning view of the lake. The staff is very sweet, and the owner is really friendly. We were immediately made to feel right at home. I'd definitely recommend staying a few days to anyone.

Loved our dining experience here, the food was delicious and one of the cheapest places we found in town. Great range for vegetarians, my favourite dish was the vegetarian tacos 30GTQ such a bargain!They also show the football (soccer) which was a big plus for my partner.

The food was plentiful and very good for only 30Q. I had the veggie omelet and it came with additional sauteed veggies and a little bit of beans and toast with jam. Everything tasted "very good". The restaurant opens at 8:00 which is nice, but they were washing the floor with chlorox at 8:15, so everything kind of tasted like the smell of bleach. Lots of flies, but I guess I should expect that with outdoor seating, but, more flies than other outdoor Guatemala restaurants that I have been to. It is a great cause and the school does support good projects. The service was GREAT. I would go again, but later in the day.

Conveniently located in the tourist area, a big choice of international dishes. The pasta carbonara was quite good (less than 6$). Itâs a restaurant with mixed local and expat staff, so Spanish and English are both fine. Nice view on the lake from the garden!
