Things to do in Coban
Estuvimos en La Terraza con a finales de enero con unos amigos y la pasamos fenomenal. Pedimos la promoción del lomito y cerveza de barril por Q.35 ($6). Es el único lugar donde encontramos cerveza de barril.
If you're in Coban you must eat at Sedano's! Dishes are really delicious, and the environment of the restaurant really nice. We met the owner, Ester. She is a professional chef with studies in Spain, and she is working hard at the kitchen as much as her staff. Ester was really nice and she provided us with information on tourist attractions in the region. Either you choose a vegetarian option or a good meat, you will enjoy eating here! We loved the fact that this is an open location, when the majority of restaurants in Coban are closed!!!
Hostal del angel has restaurants of Guatemalan food and also with international cuisine where our visitors can find fusions of international dishes with our food, we have drinks prepared for our guests.
Vine a cenar. La parrillada estupenda, el menú de cenas igual. Las pastas no son su fuerte. Sin embargo, la tradición y el ambiente sopesan algunas deficiencias en la cocina.
Located in a safe place for family and children, Campo Verde Restaurant offers a quiet and pleasant atmosphere, where we offer imported & national beef, hamburgers, typical food, pastas and desserts.
This restaurant is a little way along from the main centre but well worth the short walk. It has very friendly yet professional staff, the food was excellent and very well presented on the plate. A lot of care has gone into developing the setting, altogether the best place we have eaten at in Coban.
Estive no restaurante lãs Tablas em outubro para comer um bom chorizzo e tomar um bom vinhoMe surpreendeu o ambiente aconchegante e os funcionários muito solÃcitosA carne muito saborosa.Vale a pena uma visita.
I never give five stars but this is the closest you can get in Coban. Excellent food, excellent service, friendly and professional! A wonderful glass of house wine and true concern about my being happy with what was served. It's a very nice atmosphere to boot! If you visit Coban and like a good hearty meal at a great price, this is the spot!
"El Monje" means the Monk, and the restaurant used to be a monastery - feels steeped in history! It has a beautiful patio and big old rooms which must also be good for private parties. I confess that I have only eaten the Monje's thick black bean soup, delicious - but the hefty, solid fare beloved by Coban folk. Their cold beer, fizzy lemonade and coffee are also good. It has good wifi, and I have lurked and written from there. I really like the sweet, friendly, unobtrusive staff, the amiable atmosphere and the kindly owner who,, incidentally gives free office space to a charity from the top of what used to be the monastery's belfry.Muchas gracias por visitarnos, nuestros clientes son lo más importante para nosotros y sus opiniones nos ayudan a crecer, esperamos que vuelva pronto

A very nice blend of local flavors with a Cobanero/Qâeqche bent. So refreshing! Lots of traditional food and a few restaurants that have european flare or just a wonderful grilled steak but this is art and flavors that are delightful to the pallet and eye! I would give it a five but the atmosphere is missing just a bit of warmth. Good music to boot! For this middle-America gringo, a wonderful treat and will be back tomorrow nigehts to try 3 more dishes! Wow!By the way, wonderful entrees with yucca purée y crisp fresh veggies and garlic bread AND excellent service!

When you visit Coban, one of the first things to do is to visit El Peñascal, and try local/native food. It's just delicious. A menu with some specialties and very exotic tasteful meals you can enjoy. Kaq'Ik (turkey soup) is one of the top meals. Best place for lunch.
