De Boerenschuur is located in Vierhouten on the road to Elspeet.The ambience is lovely , service friendly and the meals are delicious. I ordered grandmothers chicken and my wife for the pork chops. On Wednesday you can order unlimited spareribs :-)

If your like me and you love big juicy steaks then you'll love it here. The resturant has a great astmophere, the staff are dressed as cowboys and cowgirls and service was surprisingly quick, it was packed when we went so I recommend reserving a table. We turned up as a couple and had to wait until a table came free. Like all these places it's not cheap but also not extortion. Would come back!

There is no compromise on the quality of the food and drink and there is a very wide range. Everything from herring to frog legs and chicken fillet to T-bone. Soup, sushi and an extensive dessert buffet, plenty of choice for everyone.The atmosphere is not very cozy, will I find the restaurant suitable for groups and companies, but not really for a family dinner or dinner for two.

Heerlijk eten op een historische plek! Van oorsprong heeft hier een koffiehuis gestaan die gastvrijheid bood aan menig bosarbeider en treinreiziger. Hof van Hulshorst heeft rekening gehouden met het verleden door het restaurant geheel van binnen in treins

The nearby APOLLO HOTEL where we stayed was fully booked for its restaurant, so we were recommended this one. Very pleasant and good food. The lamsgies (local lamb stew) was excellent. The next day we came there again, with other friends, after a relaxing walk through the sand dunes of Hulshorster Zand. Great place.
