Our group of 5 adults dined here on a Friday night. This is an attractive, stylish restaurant and the place was packed. The restaurant and menu have an upscale feel. Prices are on the higher end. They offer a variety of microbrews and extensive list of wines. The menu basically offered something for everyone, although could be much better for vegetarians and vegans. The menu has lots of heavier, "comfort foods." Much of the food is rather heavily laden with butter, oil and/or mayonnaise-based sauces, plus extremely salty. While most of us enjoy well-salted food, here, the salt is on steroids. While the rest of our party of 5 have no dietary issues or restrictions, I have a bad reaction to added oils which is a hazard in restaurants. I had called ahead during non-peak hours and asked if they would kindly make the Harvest Grain Bowl for me without added oils. At first the manager told me that he spoke with the chef, and everything is already premade with oil and they could not do it. I very politely told them that if they would so kindly just cook a small amount and keep it off to the side, I would truly appreciate it. The manager consulted with the chef once again, and told me they would accommodate this request. I thanked them up and down in advance. When we arrived, I referenced the phone call to the person who sat us and also to our server. All seemed fine. The server even asked me if there was anything else they could do to accommodate - I said, "thanks so much for asking! If possible, I'd love the dish to have very little salt." I really appreciated that the server asked me that. When my grain bowl arrived, I was surprised to find that the quinoa was literally uncooked. It was crunchy to the bite. Crunchy, raw quinoa!! Quinoa cooked so fast and becomes soft - I have no idea how they managed to serve me crunchy quinoa without the chef noticing. To add insult to injury, the greens were coated in salt to the point that when another adult in our party tasted it for me (I wanted to be sure I wasn't crazy!), he literally puckered from the salt. It was astonishingly salty. We told the server that the quinoa was raw, and showed him. He seemed annoyed. However, he did appropriately remove it from the bill (I think it was $17 for basically baby kale and raw quinoa). He also comped a dessert to the table, which demonstrated appropriate customer service. A manager came to the table and told me that he personally saw the quinoa from my cleared dish, and he verified that it was uncooked. So, the follow up to my dreadful meal was appropriate and I did appreciate that.I would not rush back here. There are not enough things on the menu that I want to try - they totally messed up the one and only thing on the menu that I could eat given my dietary preferences. However, I would give it a second shot if the rest of my group wanted to go. Perhaps they just had a bad night, with regard to my order and would do better next time.Dear bkramer947,Thank you so much for taking the time to provide this detailed feedback and we truly apologize for your experience. We have spoken with our manager that was taking care of you that evening and he again apologizes for the food quality you received. In July 2018, we visited this restaurant and had a very poor experience. After posting my review, management contacted me to invite me back and offered a $35 gift certificate. We returned last week and things were as bad or worse with the service. Once again it was five of us for lunch at noon on a Thursday. It was not especially crowded. After being seated, we were ignored for about ten minutes, until I finally got someone's attention. Our waitress offered apologies, and we gave a beverage order and asked that we receive a fifth table setting (there were only four). After a very long time, the drinks arrived but I had to ask again for the table setting. We placed our food order and, once again, had a very long wait. When the food arrived, again with apologies, my grandkids' pasta was lukewarm and my "steamed" broccoli was cold. A request for an additional beverage again took a long time. When the check arrived, I found that the waitress had given me someone else's paid check (with $25 cash included). I flagged down the waitress, who had recognized her error, and was given the correct check -- again, with many apologies. She also offered us $5 off coupons for a return visit. The waitress was wearing an apron that identified her as a "certified trainer." Sorry, clearly the management of this establishment doesn't know how to offer appropriate customer service and attention. With so many alternatives available, we won't be returning here. I'd recommend that you opt for a different spot as well.Hi, Al. We sincerely apologize that you did not receive the best service and that some items were not prepared correctly. Our general manager will be in touch via email as soon as possible.

I can remember going to this place back about 40 years ago, and getting a cold one on that hot summer day.
