Ok, so we took the scenic route along the coast which gave us nearly three hours from Luz in which to work up an appetite. My daughter and her husband had visited here in recent years and their recommendations are usually solid so it was worth the trek.The same chap that has been there forever was handing out menus and dispensing a welcome glass of chilled rosé. Just outside the front door is a way into the fresh fish counter where you can view and choose your main course. They will sell you some to take home if you wish. We shared some succulent local clams to start then a selection of grilled fish fresh from the slab - seabream, seabass and swordfish steak. With it came a steaming plate piled high with simply boiled vegetables, carrots, green and white cabbage and earthy potatoes. As authentic a meal as you could wish for and representative of the Alentejo cuisine of old.

Having been to Sines many times,I have always wanted to eat here,so being on my own I had the chance to eat and was not disappointed,it was very busy all Portuguese customers,very good service and more important the food was excellent.I t was lunchtime when I went next time will try dinner.

Taken there by local business colleagues for lunch. Great setting and was told to have local Black pork. I would have preferred the fish but it was good. Locals drink small bottled beer but more of them. Reason is they stay cold better or maybe they don't stay long enough.Busy and cheap well worth it!

A comida é razoável mas o atendimento não tem palavras de tão mau que é. Além de ser demorado, tive de pedir tudo para a mesa, desde pratos, talheres, galheteiro. Foi uma péssima escolha.
