Stopped off for lunch at this friterie in Quend. Excellent quality frites and fresh sandwiches (I recommend the tuna) served by a friendly waitress at table. there is plenty of outdoor seating with a covered area when it's raining. There's even an on-site toilet. The friterie serves beer, soft drinks and wine too.

We arrived for dinner early in the evening as they were opening and had not booked. The place was empty but we were told in an unfriendly tone it was fully booked!Dear Sir,I have no idea who you are or when you would come.The only evening where our restaurant was full booked, was on June 6th. I think if you came this evening, you noticed that the restaurant was prepared for a group of 50 people.None of us use to be unfriendly. We enjoy our English customers. Maybe you talk about an other restaurant ?

three of us, all had good food. It was surprisingly good and local food in generous portions.good value wine (a lovely rose for £10.20)really charming service... with helpful information about local dishes..Some genuine hospitality which we really appreciated on a cold wintry night in a deserted summer resort!
