You really have to try Planta Alta (top floor) a super Modern setting --open spaces industrial finish, apparent pipes, very New York-like-- inside one of the best places to go out in Querétaro (Hércules, an old factory turned into brewery/beer garden). They have an excellent choice of roasted meats and sea food (the pulpo is a must), pastas, and desserts. Prices are mid-high to high, but worth it. I gave them only four stars because their wine selection was rather poor and because they have a ventilation problem, due to its open spaces, smoke from the kitchen floods the dining area and your clothes and eyes pay the price for the restaurant's original decor. They are working on a fix for this, the manager assured us.

Stopped in for dinner when visiting the beautiful historic center of Queretaro. Location is great just a short walk from "Plaza de Armas" and far enough from the typical tourist trap restaurants right in the main plaza. Restaurant has a great atmosphere inside and out. If you are hungry the menu offers some traditional Mexican food for everyone. However, if you aren't that hungry my recommendation to you is to grab a rooftop table, a beer, and and the "molcajete carranza." After taking in the views and appetizer you just might work up the appetite to enjoy the rest of the menu.Thank you for taking sometime for reviewing us. Hope to see you back soon!

This restaurant is at a location where several restaurants share the same base location. This one is Argentine themed beef restaurant. Drinks, Starters these were all excellent. Large selection of beef dishes, a few fish and pasta. They serve what is like prosciutto, fresh cut right in front of you. This is all you need to eat along with the melted cheese and bread. I ordered a ribeye. It tasted and was cooked exactly as asked, but I admit it was tough in the middle, which is unusual in Mexico, and unusual for a ribeye.

We were staying at the Fiesta Grand Americana because of its location near the Visual Center for eye surgery. Looked at the menu and decided to try it. Excellent pizza & carpaccio pulpa. Good service & reasonable prices. We will eat there again if we need to return to the Visual Center. It's a 5 minute walk.

The food served is excellent. The architectural is a combination of an old hacienda but made modern. Stone, brick, many tables and clients. The neighborhood is very interesting as well. It does tend to be a bit loud because of the background music. At least during weekends the music may be live. I would prefer low volume or no music at all since this is a place to enjoy the presence of family and friends, more than a music show. Still El Salitre us well worth a visit.Robert, thanks for leaving your opinion. For us is really important to know what foreign visitors think about #ElGranLugarDeQuerétaro. This will help us to know what we can improve to make everyone feel more comfortable and enjoy their time with us. We hope to see you back soon.
