Living in Potchefstroom for many years and being away for some time, I was utterly surprised to find this gem... a lovely road leading to the venue, set in a beautiful area and a complete surprise to find this lovely old place. Kind and helpful people, really warm inside on one of the coldest mornings, absolutely helpful personnel from reception to the dining room. Good food, really tasty, with fresh bakes. Tables were lovely laid and cutlery of good quality. A lovely surprise and a place I will like to visit again. Definitely a place worth to stay.

We went to Potch to treat our family on their birthday and decided John Dory's would be the answer. What a terrible disappointment. We waited more than an hour for the food. None of the 6 dishes we ordered were good. The rice in my sushi was like bubblegum. When I called the manager to complain, her answer was: "So are you not going to eat the rest." They had a special kids eat free, but we had to pay for all 6 dishes.
