My family stopped for lunch at Mar & Tierra after our visit to Monteverde in Costa Rica. Arenas Travel made the arrangements and our menu was limited to tilapia, beef fajitas or pasta.Everyone in our family (two adults and two teens) thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. I had the buttered pasta with ice cream for desert, and both dishes were outstanding. Since we ordered in advance during our tour, our wait was very short once we arrived at the restaurant. Overall the service was exceptional, and they went out of there way to make sure we enjoyed our experience. I heartily recommend stopping at this restaurant if you are visiting the area.I can't comment directly on the pricing or value as the cost of lunch was included in our tour. However, I checked out the pricing on the menu out front (they take USD & local currency), and the pricing looked very reasonable).

Ordered the salmon. The portion was extremely small, service was horrible. Very slow, had to repeatedly chase my waiter, and remind him twice about my order. I have been eating BBQ my entire life. I have traveled all over the Southern USA and tried them all. But this is one of the absolute BEST BBQ restaurants EVER and it is located right here in Playa Hermosa Guanacaste. Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork, Smoked Chicken Wings, etc. All amazing! I have lived here for almost 20 years and have been waiting patiently for BBQ to finally arrive. Thank God, it is here. You HAVE to check this place out. Small and quaint, family owned, and amazing food.

Our group of 6 had red snapper (excellent!) and the evening special of rotisserie roasted pork (not quite as enthusiastically endorsed). Beer was cold, good salad and fries, so-so rice. No prices on menu, but the bill for 5 beers, 1 water, 4 pork specials and 2 small snapper dinners was about 70,000 colones. Some of us were happier with the meal than others. Service was very welcoming. Lovely painted Costa Rican-themed murals.

we were on holiday in costa rica recently and i wanted to find somewhere nice to take my new wife for her birthday, after a search on trip advisor i found Che Sirloin, what a lovely place this is, i booked our table for the evening of 28th june through facebook. All so easy, when we got there we immediatly felt comfortable and welcomed. There is a really nice ambience to the place, we chose an outside table. we had a really great steak dinner with drinks and it all came to just over $50, brilliant. The owners even messaged me the next day thanking us for our patronage and generous tip. we had hoped to go back before we flew back to London, but things didn,t pan out, if you are in coco beach definatly give Che Sirloin a look, you will not be sorry.Than you for your kindness Guy. We were honored to host you and your wife on you special day and graetfull to have met your expectations. Till your next visit to Paradise.BestChe Sirloin Team

We ate here several times on our last visit to Coco. We were happy to find it open during October when other restaurants are closed. The protein bowl was a nice start to the day. My friends had a pulled pork sandwich which also had rave reviews. My second visit, I had the portabello sandwich, which was chopped portabello deep fried. Yum. They were testing out their new fish sandwich. My friends tried it and found it was also delicious. Their Sangria is unique in that it has some cloves added. We will definitely be back.
