Lixouri is the second largest community in Kefalonia after Argostoli and before Sami and is the capital of the small peninsula. It is located south of Fiskardo, west of Argostoli.

We ended up going to this restaurant and bar every morning after finding it on our first full day in the area. Very welcoming and a pleasure going there. The coffee is great and it seems to come most of the time with a small accompaniment such as a biscuit, Greek doughnut, some cake etc. We also ate there and found the food very good. The people that looked after us were so nice and very efficient. It is a spotlessly clean place to be and the views are amazing. This is our second day at home and we've both said how much we miss our visit to the Xi Beach Restaurant and Bar each day.

This was recommended in an old rough guide. We all tried something different, the meat pie was apparently super, I tried the aubergines imam after a salad starter. It was delicious. Thereâs a covered garden area through the restaurant which was perfect on a hot day.

Walked to beach and popped in here for a drink. Cute tiki umbrellas and comfy seating. Quite a big grassed area, very trpical looking. Had a lovely Mojito, bit expensive, well same as our hotel, but worth it. Nice ambience overlooking the sea.

Very disappointing service was slow and food average. Arrived at the restaurant and was seated in a lovely spot over looking the sea and beach. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was very good with plenty on the plate. I had the Kleftiko which came double wrapped as a meal in its self. This was absolutely delicious and very filling albeit not what I was expecting. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who finds themselves at Xi beach.

A nice bar on the Lixouri waterfront with an indoor section, an outdoor area next to the water and an upstairs area serving food. The staff, in common with almost everyone on Kefalonia, are very friendly and the drinks and snacks are decent value considering the location.

Antonello's is a really lovely taverna near Xi beach. We visited a few times during our holiday, and on each occasion had delicious food and great service.Fresh fish, souvlaki, gyros, all the Greek favourites, local wine and all very reasonably priced.Staff really friendly and helpful too.
