This is not somewhere to go if you want a romantic dinner or a meal in peaceful surroundings or eating with a view. It is a shack on an industrial estate with a concreted area for eating outside and a rather dismal indoor dining area. It is somewhere to go if you want freshly cooked really good food presented in restaurant style with large proportions. Particularly good are the chicken fillets, fish and chips. A great alternative to the fast food outlets. A single course lunch for 2 with cokes was â¬16. Particularly convenient if you want a break from driving on the nearby autoroute and you can park outside the bicycle shop next door.

Very accessible as it is close to a free parking area in the centre of town. Typically French, in the best sense. Service is friendly and professional. Food whether plat du jour or à la carte is reasonably priced and nicely cooked. Seafood available.

Nous avons découvert ce restaurant joliment rénové par de nouveaux propriétaires qui, tout en gardant le niveau de prix pour la formule du midi et une cuisine française classique, ont innové en introduisant quelques recettes nordiques.L'un de nous a gouté les suprêmes de volaille, l'autre l'andouillette, ces deux plats en sauce à la crème au Maroilles (ce fromage qui pue mais au gout pas si fort...) excellent ! On note au menu ce filet américain une sorte de tartare de bÅuf plus gouteux (avec des anchois ) et un des plats incontournables de la cuisine à la bière, les carbonnades flamande (sorte de bourguignon à la bière). Et les meilleures frites de Lézignan ! Nous reviendrons.
