Laganas (Greek: Λαγανάς) is a village and a former municipality on the island of Zakynthos, Ionian Islands, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Zakynthos, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit Laganas covers the southernmost part of Zakynthos. Its municipal seat was the town of Pantokratoras (pop. 925 in 2011). The municipal unit of Laganas has a land area of 74.104 km². Its largest towns are Mouzaki (pop. 1,702), Lithakia (pop. 1,307), Pantokratoras, Kalamaki (pop. 890), Laganas (pop. 729), and Keri (pop. 469). The central and eastern part of the municipal unit are flat, but there are hills up to 450 m elevation in the west. The Zakynthos International Airport lies in the eastern part of the municipal unit, near Kalamaki. The beach village Laganas, part of the community of Pantokratoras, is on the southeastern coast. A large part of Laganas is a national park, established for the protection of turtles.

What can I say about this place!! Well if you are luck enough to get to see Dimitri and Chris behind the bar at the same time then you truly are in for a surprise!! These two together are unbelievable full of energy and enthusiasm the entertainment me and my friends received from them was another level!! Cocktails are out of this world with a lovely view to enjoy them even more! Chris can juggle bottles like theses no tomorrow and Dimitri with his Greek looks and charm! It's a must visit place you won't be dissatisfied.Many thanks Jenna... glad you all enjoyed yourselves and we hope to welcome you back again this season x

We went there everyday during our holiday in Laganas, Zakynthos. The owner was very friendly and very helpful with all kinds of information regarding the food but also the surroundings, no matter how busy he was.I tried different kinds of seafood (octopus, grilled fish, calamari, tzatziki, etc.(, everything tastes great and was very fresh. I also appreciated the salads, everything was tasty and you could see that all the vegetables were fresh cut.I would recommend this place to anyone who appreciates good food and a hospitable owner. Next year I will visit laganas again and eat at the corner every day :)

"To Rodi" is a friendly restaurant with a cosy and homey atmosphere. Here we cook greek zakynthian courses like at home and we serve them as if a family table..There's also a more special cuisine for those who prefer something different!!! The restaurant

We visited Rodi on the recommendation of our tour rep. A lovely setting and a good selection of Greek and Mediterranean dishes looked promising.The staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming. Although the food itself was quite good, our mains were plonked on the table when we were only half way through our starters! The waiter whisked himself off very quickly without so much as a word. Despite the restaurant not being busy at all, we felt very rushed. It spoilt the meal for us.

If I could give Bon Appetit more stars I would. I felt so impressed I arrived home today and needed to write a review to share my experience with others maybe looking for a traditional place to eat. Wonderful vegetarian food (I had the vegetarian moussaka..delicious!!) Excellent customer service, very warm, friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant, if you are looking for a taste of fresh homemade greek food with a relaxed family feel.
