Not a good experience here. We were celebrating a special occasion and were informed of this place just out of GAP city centre. Two of us ordered entrecôte steak.One ordered a beefburger and done other the Duck breast. The burger and duck were good but the steaks were tough as old boots. Certainly not entrecôte. In French, the word entrecôte denotes a premium cut of beef used for steaks. Contre- filet, cut from the sirloin. Entrecôtein frying pan. It was worlds away from an entrecôte steak. We did not tell the waitress of our displeasure as we felt that if we got two more steaks cooked and served they would have been equally tough. In fact, the waitress did not question the fact that these steaks were left on the plate. So, a word of warning. don't choose an entrecôte at L'Annexe. My faith in French cuisine has hit rock bottom.

Travelling from Chalons en Champagne to Annecy we pulled up fortuitously outside St Roche Cafe in Gap In spite of our limited French language the waitress was friendly and patient. I went for steak hash my wife chose the fish dish off the specials menu. Both meals were presented beautifully and tasted lovely. Thank you for an affordable memorable lunch.

Great atmosphere, good food and great sense of humour from the waitress.
