Taverna Vassilis opened in 1951 by Vassilis and Maria Voudias. Today the tradition is carried on by their son and daughter in law and their children.
The taverna is located inside the Old Street Market in the center town of Naxos. It is a beautiful place to dine, and any meal is outstanding, whatever fish or meat.Of course also the classic Greek Standards. As I like fish a lot I suggest the fish, anyway is up to you because even the meat is good. It's perfect to dine there and after go for a walking tour around the beautiful small streets of Naxos.Enjoy !Thank you so much for your review!

Place on the main area of Agios prokopios beach,Lefto's souvlaki kebab house is a new restaurant where you can find the best souvlaki in town, fresh homemade oriental kebabs, chicken on the rotisserie, and many more grilled plates....
We had lunch here. Service was quick and very friendly. The Gyro was incredible and their fries are to die for! Will definitely come back for more. It was also very reasonably priced for a tourist town.

Set just off the main square this is a very popular restaurant. Having eaten there now I can understand why.It was very busy when we arrived they found us a table inside which was good because it was windy. We ordered the lemon lemon which was really good but the stand out dish was the Kleftiko. Beautifully cooked, subtly flavoured and a big portion. The house wine was decent enough and not expensive. The service was prompt and polite throughout and, if we had more time, we would definitely go back.

A sleeper on Plaka's main street, we only went there because the TripAdvisor reviews were so good. And are we happy we trusted TripAdvisor! Voula is a wonderful family-run restaurant where the food is really well-cooked, reasonable, delicious. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the Plaka Beach area

This isn't really the "standard taverna fare" advertised by previous reviewers. All they do is grilled meat and gyros. If you are hoping for other Greek dishes then go someplace else. Most of the meat dishes were good but the chicken souvlaki did not appear to be home made and was heavily salted.Annoying musician soundchecking for 40 minutes solid rather spoiled the ambiance. All else as previously reviewed. Would suggest lunch rather than dinner here.

We enjoyed a selection of meat dishes including souvlakis, gyros and skewers. All cooked very well and very tasty. The service was a little abrupt but helpful enough, and didnât ruin the experience.

This is a tiny town, so it's easy to find this taverna on the island of Naxos. Traditional Family Greek Tavern.
After a day of exploring on our ATV's, we stopped at this village and at this taverna for lunch. We had pork souvlakis, kontosouvli (a local version of spiced pork), greek salad and meatballs and cold beers!! All were delicious and fortified us for the ride on our ATV's back into Agios Prokopios.
