We went to Costa Blanca with more than 40 people. There we reserved a large room with "Kegelbahn" (sort of bowling alley) in the basement. From outside, the restaurant doesn't look very nice and exposes a large menu with pictures of their dishes (which is always a bit weird!). But from the inside, it appears quite cozy. Although they claim being a spanish restaurant, they also offer italian and german cuisine on their menu... Once we arrived, there were already canapés and finger food waiting for us which was really nice. The wine was also ok. Then they started with a big buffet of diverse spanish tapas for starters. I have to say that those tapas were really, really good! Afterwards, they served Paella and in the end diverse cakes and tiramisu for dessert. I would like to point out that the service was also great. They were extremely attentive and therefore, we never ran out of food or wine. In all, we spend a very nice evening at Costa Blanca.

Arrived on a Tuesday evening which seemed to be the start of the 'Wild' or 'game' season for this restaurant. Parking was ample and easy to get ti by tram. Very traditional deco, cosy and welcoming service. Restaurant was very full. Wine list excellent with some ' please try me' Swiss numbers. Food was very tasty and fresh, I had a well prepared Venison with all the expected trimmings, mopped up every morsel! My dining guests also enjoyed. Would come again. Conclusion, good, honest hearty seasonal locally produced food that hadnt been messed about with, 10/10.

The rooms are beautiful in this month old hotel, but the restaurant alone makes it worth visiting. Not only was the food delicious and creative (who would have thought of making popcorn soup?), but the service was outstanding. Damien and Fabio made me feel at home, like a couple of long lost friends. Then after enjoying your dining experience, you can top the night off with one of their fine selections of cigars in the well ventilated smoking room. Highly recommended. Cheers!

I will first identify the good thing that deserved a 2 rating and that is its starters. Even a platter of mixed dips for 02 is good for 4 with hot bread which is very good. The rest is all south. So if you go to the grill counter to see what they have in mix grill or special, you only see 5 trays of lamb, chicken, spicy mince, pistachio mince and regular mince and they play the name game of all dishes within these 5. Even though the menu claimed amazing names, both mince and chicken were overly dried - more freezer time more dried up meat. The biggest objection to the place owner, Yes the owner and not me is that why we are 4 people and ordering 2 platters. I was asked this question twice and when I asked why I am being charged 10 CHF for an additional piece of bread, I was slapped with the same statement - you are 4 people and order 2 platters. Excuse me is there a restriction for not ordering freezer burnt meat?We've been to Taksim square in Istanbul and the Kebabs on normal street shops is way tastier, fresh and cheaper than this place. So it's your choice whether you want to be ripped off at this place and treated rudely since you want to check whether you should order more if you like it after tasting something basic, then please by all means go there.
