Dinner for 3, 2 courses, 80 euros. We have eaten here before and had high expectations. However overall this was a disappointment. The restaurant was busy - especially outside. we chose to eat inside to get away from the UK expats that were camped outside, smoking. Inside its nicely presented and our waitress was very nice and tried very hard. Service was generally good and the place is nice and clean. The food was a bit disappointing. We ordered the special - lamb shoulder. I wonder if this was actually kid meat. It was tasty and quite large. However we were not informed of the price on ordering which i think was a bit cheeky as it was 22 euros a portion. Ok, fair enough, it costs what it costs BUT this is quite a bit more expensive than anything on the standard menu. My son had the duck which was requested pink but came very rare/underdone and consequently chewy, the fat wasn't cooked at all and inedible. The desserts - a mixed bag - the brownie was nice. My wife had a crema catalana which was also described as creme brûlée on the menu - it is not! way too much gelatine making it very rubbery and unpleasant. We should have sent both the duck and dessert back but when you're on holiday you don't like to complain and spoil the mood, so hey ho!Overall, a nice setting - inside and nice staff . Quite nice meal but slightly spoilt by cheek pricing and sloppy cooking in places. Too expensive for what we received.

The terrace appears like a classic venue for dinner - it's looks tempting. But are you one of their friends, or a large party? We weren't.. We asked a waiter (in Spanish of course) if we may take a table for drinks. He didn't really seem to be paying attention, and didn't look me in the eye, but there was a small nod and blink. We chose the smallest table we could find and waited for him to take our order. Without saying a word or looking at us he showed up a minute later and collected plates into a pile, then walked off again to talk to and serve a newly arrived Spaniard who had also brought his shouting children who proceeded to run around everyone's tables. He took an order from them, was joined by another waiter and they placed the usual complementary olives on their table while we continued to wait. Eventually he came, unsmiling, to take our drinks order. I asked if he had "Alhambra Especial" - my Spanish is just fine, I've been using it constantly without any problems for more than a year, we very rarely speak English here, and ordering this beer is not a big challenge. He said no. I asked if he had the reserve or any other special beers - no, only normal beer. I ordered a red wine and a white for my girlfriend. The drinks came, my red wine as chilled and unwelcoming as the service and tasted cheap. Again no smiles, no eye contact, he's distracted and looking over at other guests, or at nothing. The olives that are always brought to you even for a drink never arrive and the children scream on around us. Then I see another server bring the exact beer I'd wanted to a different table. I get up, walk over to the party and point out the beer to the person who had served our table. He mumbles away some excuse, does not apologise or offer to change my drink and tries to walk off. I say to him "Acetunas?" (olives), he shrugs and a few minutes later we receive a small dish of greasy, chewy, flavourless olives. My girlfriend finishes her wine and we leave, determining to write this review. You can't return to place offering quality and service this poor.
