We are an independent, award-winning, family run restaurant with a panoramic countryside view. All of our dishes celebrate locally sourced ingredients. Our pork dishes are lovingly made using our own home-grown, RSPCA Assured Freedom Food pork. We hang ou
Discovering a vegetarian menu which doesn't rely on tired old 1980s' recipes of mushrooms, mushrooms and then more mushrooms can be a problem. It's also pretty annoying if you're allergic to or don't like mushrooms. If you share this view then we can't recommend highly enough The Barn at Berryfields (and no, we don't know them). The menu is just a total delight from start to finish with twists here and there (e.g. incredible salsa with the calamari), some really innovative veggie and vegan dishes, excellent fresh fish (changes daily depending what's available so the specials are, we think, always different), and great puddings. We don't eat meat but from what we saw going to the tables, the carnivores are well catered for. Beer's good too. The chef should walk the floor - we'd love to have spoken to him/her. The staff were friendly and knowledgable - they knew the menus (something which is all too often not the case. You know you've hit a dud when the person serving doesn't know what the soup of the day is, or if it's been made with vegetable or chicken stock - needless to say that didn't happen at The Barn.) They smiled, made eye contact and actually projected a feeling of 'we like to work here'. Priceless. And sharing pictures of our Goldies was good fun as well. We were passing through on a cold, dark, wet night in November and the place was buzzing. Not surprising. 10/10 all round. No, on second thoughts, they have to have points deducted because they declined to relocate to Lancashire.

The Dog Inn is situated on the outskirts of Coleshill in the village of Nether Whitacre it is circa 1500s and still maintains its traditional character and is one of the pubs in the area that has been "unspoilt by progress" The Dog inn is a warm village p
I really enjoy coming to this pub. The outdoor area with the chickens and canaries are wonderful! I love how one canary makes a mechanical sound. If you have been here and don't know what I mean listen closely, he has definitely replicated something. The ale is great and the food is lovely.
"Piri-Piri" means "pepper-pepper" in Swahili. In Portugal it specifically refers to a very small chili pepper which is known for its bold flavour.
Visited here with a work colleague. They had been to a Pepe's before, but I'd never heard of them so we thought we'd give it a try.I thought it would be a fast food restaurant, but although it kind of is, they tend to cook your food to order. Well, they did in our case anyway.I had a ordered a chicken burger, and fries. It didn't take to long to cook, and you can see right into the kitchen area watching them cook your food. The food wasn't to bad a price, comparable with KFC. The food itself was really good. Tasted great, even if it was a bit spicy that I ordered.

A tradional english country pub offering either a dedicated dinning area or meals and snacks served in the lounge /bar area. Family run our friendly staff are always happy to serve you.
Wanted lunch when driving through village, decided to see what was on offer. Friendly welcome, shown into the dining area, well set out, with plenty of room to get round tables. Menu was good, ranging from sandwiches/baguettes up to full meals. Hubby had all day breakfast, local sourced products, which looked - and tasted - lovely. Well cooked and not swimming in fat. I chose a jacket potato, with a tikka masala filling and it came with plenty of filling and a really good mixed leaf side salad. Very impressed with the meals and the cost. Service was at table, again very good, without being intrusive - drinks brought to table too. Will definitely be visiting again to sample the main meals.

Visited on fathers day evening so was fairly busy. A new menu since our last visit, prices have increased slightly but still excellent value for the quality of food and size of portions. Skipped starters and had mains only - the mixed grills were huge and the curry (jalfrezi) was really tasty.Great food and service, we will visit again.

Fanatical about flames; silly about smokers and utterly obsessed with the smells, tastes and traditions of the Deep South. Our smokin' hot menu is available all day every day, from smokehouse classics including ribs, Texas style beef brisket, to steak and
Food was very good as was the service. Good range of drinks. Our meal was spoilt somewhat by the rather noisy customers who appeared to have a competition as to who could be the loudest.Hi MickSueF,Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Whilst I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed the food and that you were well looked after by our team, I am disappointed to read that your experience was slightly tarnished. We do hope that it won't stop you from visiting us again. Best Wishes,Emma
