We enjoyed an End of year lunch at Blackwood. It is our regular hang out as it offers great food at very good prices. Lots of specials every day. Try the gwarra gwarra steak. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

For the best burgers in town, authentic smokehouse menu, widest range of craft beer, and delectable cocktails...
After a weekend of camping and unpacking we were ravenous. Popped round to Hogshead again. Was a lovely evening for sitting outside. O'Neil served us and he was excellent. We shared chicken livers for a starter and shared a Hogsboard for mains. The food was delicious. Do try the sweet potato chips when you enjoy a meal there. Being banters we always swop the potato chips with sweet potato chips. It is delicious. Thanks Cliff and staff, it was once again a great experience.Hi Annali, Thank you for the awesome review! We truly appreciate it! We are so glad that you guys enjoyed your visit! We hope to see you again soon! Will definitely pass on the message to the guys! Cheers, Hogshead Centurion

We created this setting as somewhere to bring colleagues and clients, families and friends. The ambience is memorable, and the space is sophisticated yet relaxed. Over time it has evolved to reflect the personality of our guests - people who share good ti
My husband and I had the pleasure of having a lazy lunch at More Restaurant. We chose a table outside at the back of the restaurant. The restaurant boasts a very relaxing and rustic ambience. Our waiter, Cecil was friendly and professional and took good care of us throughout our meal. The menu boasts a wide variety too choose from and was very reasonably priced. Expect starters, salads, pizza, pasta, burgers, grills and sushi to name a few. The wine list was also very moderately priced. We had a bottle of Boschendal Chenin Blanc which we thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant also boasts specials every day which is excellent value for money.I had the beef carpaccio salad. It was simply delicious. The creamy feta, peppadews and rocket on top of thin slithers of beef was a match made in heaven. My husband had the 400g pork ribs. The ribs were full of meat and melt in the mouth tender. The potato chips were also delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at More and we will be back to sample on more of the mouthwatering menu.PS: We ordered a meat supreme pizza the past weekend from More (through Mr D Food). The base was crisp and thin and the toppings very generous. It consisted of bacon, ham, salami and Bolognese mince. I can honestly say it was one of the best pizzas we ever had.

In the 1800âs, long before the town of Pretoria came to be, the Erasmus family settled on Brakfontein farm. The âwaenhuisâ, built in 1841, and the âVoortrekkershuisâ, built around 1854 still stand on the property today. The location has been declared a Hi
I was invited to a 50th birthday dinner at the restaurant. Very easy to find and secure venue. The setting of the restaurant is stunning especially during sunset. The restaurant is in an old farm home so lots of space and little private rooms for a meal. The service is great and very friendly. The wine cellar is good but wines are expensive (minimum 200% higher than Makro wine prices). The menu option for starters, mains and deserts are really great...not a full menu though. We shared a chicken liver starter which was prepared well and the plating was poor to average...so i will go with the taste. For mains we had a fillet with sweet potato mash, and my son ordered a salmon medium to rare and came very well done. The plating was very poor for a restaurant that sets itself as fine-dining. The taste was average and the price was over the top.Not a place i would visit again,.

I love this establishment. I've been there so many times and I have never had anything short of great service; even if its just for a quick drink at the bar. Great for lunch or dinner; the place is really awesome with its Jack Daniels theme; although many other brands readily available. I have hosted small and large groups here and its always been a blast. Small family dinners have also always been great.

It looks like a steakhouse. Mmmm, it smells like a steakhouse. And it certainly tastes like a steakhouse. But Karoo Grill & Bar is more than just a steakhouse. It's a top steak-based restaurant. And a South African one at that, featuring traditional SA fa
Great choice on the menu, with large portions and surprisingly very reasonable prices. Large restaurant with seating downstairs outside, or upstairs inside.I like the idea of the salad bar which is included with each meal. Good service by knowledgable staff.Obviously great for steaks, which are huge, and again very good pricesI apologise for not responding before, it seems the "warning" system when a new review is posted isn't working perfectly! Thank you so much for this kind review, we really appreciate the rating and your kind comments.
