We stayed at the pousada da serra da Estrella and because the restaurant's quality we looked for something good and special. We found this really good looking restaurant from the outside and we knew that we had to go in.They have some great dry aged meat that you have abolutelly to taste. The ingredients and the sides are very locally and a great Portuguese cuisine experience.I give it a 5 out of 5!!!!Will come back for sure

We were passing by Sabugueiro and select this restaurant based on tripadvisor comments.The parking place was limited, which seems a rather unfortunate trait of the main road where is located; the restaurant has a good environment and the fireplace in the dead of the winter is very welcomed. The owner also seems to have good manners, but offers no recommendations at all about what to eat. The service could be improved.However, the food portions are on the smallish side. Our experience does not match at all others saying the food is plenty. You have to ask for two full meals for two persons, judging for our amount of food, are we are very light eaters.The range of deserts also leave a lot to desire, however this seems to be normal in this region of Portugal for the segment of this restaurant.Our food was also overcooked. IMO, the quality of the food does not justify spending 30 euros for two persons at all.We do not plan to come back.

After some friends booked a table we were made waiting for more than an hour while other people without reservation were sitted and no explanation from the management, terribly hot inside and waiters struggling like headless chickens to keep up with the service. After arriving noticed some patrons at a table having the traditional "finished my meal" coffee, when we left (after an hour) same people were still sitting at the same table, seems that if you are known to the management /staff you'll get a better service. Can't say about the food since we left quite annoyed... lots of better restaurants nearby as it turned out...

This restaurant was the ancient "Muralha " For m'y family it's the Best restaurant in Castelo Branco. The food is definetly Portuguese classicals dishes but better. Even my maman doesn't Cook as well as their Cook !! Most of the customers are locals it says a lot. The food is great, the service is perfect. They have a wonderful sélection of fish, meat and WINE !! You can have a really cheap wine or some of the best one's in Portugal. Don't hesitate you have to go and enjoy...
