Reviews on Grill food in Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany. Also known as Brunswick, Braunschweig is, at about 250,000 people, the largest city between Hannover and Berlin. Many of Braunschweig's most historic buildings surround the city center Burgplatz (Castle Square), including the 12th-century Braunschweiger Dom (Brunswick Cathedral), burial place of the famed Henry the Lion, powerful early Duke of Saxony. Henry's rebuilt castle, Burg Dankwarderode, is also on the Burgplatz and is now a museum. The Old City Market is another popular visitor spot.

Visited the Ox twice. By far the best steaks in Germany! Sides were really good, especially the cold platter appetizer. They have a full bar. And like everywhere in Germany the wine and beer were top notch.

Opatja Grill is a Croatian restaurant mainly specialised in grilled meat, fish or vegetable. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The waiters are very friendly. The space is big but decoration is a bit old. Could get better rating with evolution of the cuisine to some dishes a bit more sophisticated and a renewal of the decoration. But food is good and the service is attentive so recommendable anyhow.

The Fischers is a very nice cafe with big windows toward the 'Ring', lots of newspapers, contemporary art on the wall and space to relax and chill out. The homemade food is tasty and not very expensive (good Flammkuchen for about 7 Euro), coffee and cakes look nice. The breakfast is unfortunately not a buffet, which makes it a bit more difficult to find what you are looking for. Thanks a lot for the five stars! See you again soon!
