I have been waiting until 15 o clock, as it is written at their homepage, and everywhere. When I got there the man who was working there told me it was closed due to renovation. Did not they think they should write to their homepage or even at the door downstairs that you should not visit them?? Terrible.

Egon restaurants seem to be a staple of Norway. Their menu is quite varied and the food is pretty decent. That being said, donât expect Haute Nordic Cuisine from this experience; itâs more like the TGIFridays of Norway, which is always reliable. The âCreamy Fish Soupâ is one of their specialities and I can understand why. Itâs quite delicious and filling.
Went here to get a quick lunch before boarding. Was assured that it was possible to get a vegan "club sandwich", as all the other food in the display either had cheese, butter or mayonnaise. Sat down on a crumb filled chair... Waited about 30 minutes for the food. When food finally arrived it was served with dry gluten free bread. Also came served with two types of cheese that had not been removed from the dish. Why asking about this to the chef, I got a very dirty look... Defiantly not how you should treat patrons... removing the cheese should have taken two seconds, however this took at least 10 extra minutes. When my order was called again only one of the cheeses had been removed, since I was running short on time to order again. I decided to cancel my order and have my money refunded. This restaurant is not vegan nor travel friendly, and the staff defiantly were not capable of understanding the difference between vegan and gluten free. Extremely unacceptable behavior. Mid level prices, but defiantly on the more expensive side, paid 200 kr/ 24$ for a drink and "club sandwich ", which for Norway isn't particularly bad, but it is possible to get a much cheaper and better sandwich at Oslo airport for about 100 kr/ 10$. Not worth it for a sad, lumpy looking sandwich with soggy fries.Overall, the service was very poor, the staff were rude and uneducated, and the food was slow and not worth the price. Also note that this kitchen/staff has three locations bound to it, the pizza place, food factory and "the pub".
