Tried all of the grill restaurants in chora during the 10 days I was there, none of the others compares to Louis. The quality and quantity of the meat was much better. The friendly service by the owner and his wife is outstanding! Recommended! Will come back!

Our restaurant- offering meze, creative and standard greek cuisine -was until 2017 hidden in an alley of Batsi. Since May 2018, it has been relocated on the seaside promenade with a terrace and even a few tables right on the sea front. The dishes are still
This little place is right on the front in Batsi, so you might think it could be a bit touristy but not a bit of it. The man who runs it is absolutely delightful and we had lovely food. We didn't want a big meal so we just had local cheese, pork and spicy sausages and it was just perfect. The culinary highlight was undoubtedly the olive oil, which makes the local Andros cheese even more delish when you mix them together and the proprietor is VERY proud of it because it's made by his own family from their own olives. All washed down with very passable house wine and a complimentary yoghurt with cherry syrup. A great evening.

If you love meat, you'll enjoy Ammos - one of four linked restaurants (all run by the same management) on Batsi beach. But if you want something lighter and more digestible, you'll probably keep walking. It's a burger and skewer heaven, with umpteen options for the heartiest appetite. But it isn't the best option in this lively little resort town on Andros island, and if you veer towards vegetarianism, you're better giving it a wide berth.Having said that, the quality is good, the portions large and the service sufficient, if not brilliant.

Just lovely the food Ioannis Stylianos makes in this Souvlaki restaurant. Also the Gyros is fenomenal. Pita's are regarded as fast food, but I'll have it any day, lunch or dinner. The meat of choice (gyros, souvlaki/porc or chicken) goes with lovely tzatziki, tomato, red onion and some chips in a delicious pita. I always order two although one is enough...Staff is always nice and helpfull and you have your order quickly. It's usually crowded also with locals, which in my view is a good thing. They also serve dishes by the way, but I'm only experienced in eating pita's :-)It's also takeaway. Well I'm off now getting another one!Î£Î±Ï ÎµÏ ÏαÏιÏÏοÏμε ÏαÏα ÏολÏ!!!!ÎÏÏÏ Î· Ïιο ÏμοÏÏη κÏιÏική ÏÎ¿Ï Î¼Î±Ï ÎÏÎ¿Ï Î½ κάνει, να είÏαÏÏε ÏάνÏα καλά!!!!

We had an excellent dinner even if we feared it was too late to find a table and any food left given the number of cars parked outside. It turned out that they had a pleasant table away from the screaming children and despite the flood of people all tge staff was attentive and smiling. The goat wrapped in oily paper was excellent as were the vegetables that we ordered. They also bring you a small bottle of rakia with your water. The bill is cheap and again the staff was very kind and welcoming.
