Aartselaar (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈaːrtsəlaːr], old spelling: Aertselaer) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality only comprises the town of Aartselaar proper. On January 1, 2006 Aartselaar had a total population of 14,375. The total area is 10.93 km² which gives a population density of 1,316 inhabitants per km². The municipality of Aartselaar is located in the southern outskirts of Antwerp. It is known for its 1801 windmill (Heimolen) as well as the cycling race called Memorial Rik Van Steenbergen.

This restaurant is in a small street close by the big market and the Meir. The servant was very friendly and we were served in no time. I had a giant meat brochette. The look was rather strange, but the taste was very good. The plate was served with fries and some salade, both not the best, but the brochette covered it all. The restaurant also offers mix brochette (meat, chicken, sausage) and one with salmon...all very big, so make sure you have a good apatite. My wife took a Greek salade with goat cheese, although it came with some pasta too, which was a kind of mismatch. Waiters were very attentive to us (they suggested us to take off our jacket, asked if everything was fine, etc.). The food was tasty but not enough potatoes with the burgers (could be enough for non starving people). We didn't waited the time for a long time.Well located (in the grote markt), and very cosy restaurant (not to big like canteens). Toilets were cleaned.I really recommend it.Bedankt voor de toffe recensie! We doen ons uiterste best om iedereen zo goed mogelijk te bedienen en zijn blij te horen dat u alles goed vond! This place is amazing for food and the location is perfect. I had the shrimp cocktail which was amazing with the fish hot pot to follow and this was also amazing. The waitress was excellent but the gentleman who we first met was quite rude but thankfully we didnât have to interact with him again. Highly recommend
