Perfect. Lovely view of the hills. Need a car to get there though or taxi. Menu in English too. Not much vegetarian choice. Full of locals (so if you can't abide smoking, stay away) but not intimidating. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, we had kids aged 9 upwards. Reasonable prices and excellent authentic food.

Highlights of Kosmas are a surprisingly beautiful garden setting (lots of fruit trees, a great kids area, and tree covered hills as a backdrop) which doesnât seem likely when you first walk in. Second, the service - very friendly, very attentive, very chatty. And finally the food was superb, and perhaps for the quality, the best value meal we had in Crete (and we have been to a lot of places in 2 weeks of travelling around). We loved this place.

Cozy, family and traditional restaurant with delicious and filling portions, every day specialties. We serve the best homemade wine, raki and rakomelo(raki with honey). We only use our certified olive oil to cook. Hearty service ("Philoxenia") and fair pr
Well worth the long slog up the hill from our hotel. Some really nice touches with cold water on the table at no extra cost and complimentary ice cream with the nicest raki Iâve tasted! Food homemade & fresh with the loveliest waitress serving it. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Original gyros pita, souvlaki, kebab. We cook everything with extra virgin Cretan olive oil, using only fresh Cretan products.10 years of experience! The most traditional Greek taste, from the best in town!
Firstly, I cant believe I'm writing a review for what us English would class as a kebab shop..Yet, this place is superb, fantastic value for money, the most welcoming of staff/ owners and ultimately and most importantly FANTASTIC FAST FOOD Thank you for looking after me and the wife (especially me) my only downside if I didn't find this place until 10 days of a 14 day holiday (think we visited 5 times in total :) )Thanks for the great food and wonderful service, hope to see you again :)

Nice location on the beach and a nice atmosphere. Overpriced food compared to quality. Service could be improved from the staff.

We stopped here for lunch after a morning at the beach. The food was good with very generous portions. The cocktails were lovely. Staff are friendly too.

Its a nice cafe RESTAURANT by the sea!nice environment good and handmade traditional food and sweets!!
Owner was really helpful with information about dishes and size This place is good for traditional food, the portions are huge ,staff was helpful with informations about dishes . I asked for an egg& courgette appetizer but my husband's Greek salad arrived first, mine has been brought to the table with the main meals, so I had to watch my husband eat his starter while waiting for mine .Maybe would be been better to start cooking mine first as it takes longer and get the salad ready last minute so you could bring them both to the table like we ordered in the first place? Two people...two appetizers :) . The reason for the 2 stars is the fact that we have been charged on the bill for things we did not order : bottle of water (been put on the table without asking if we want it so we just assumed it was free , no one had explain to us if we don't want it ,they could take it away,) dip with some crutons, been charged for cutlery ?!?! - that i have never heard of before and I was disgusted to hear it when my husband came back and told me. Another sauce that came with the steak but the owner said she will bring a bit for my husband to try.... Totally disappointed with this attitude...being a visitor in this town doesn't mean you deserve to get extra things added to the bill because you don't speak the language. I would not return to this place although the food was nice. Be careful ! I walked in there with such a relaxed attitude and was looking forward to try another great place but I walked away feeling robbed and upset. Luckly there are plenty other places that don't do that and you get a great welcoming service from them , they make you want to come back again and again. Not this one, it's not what they pretend to be. Alot of work needs to be done to avoid things like what happend to us .Mrs.Roxana..first of all thank you about your good words and nice to meet you....probably you misunderstood because as you told..you(dont know well the language).First of all when a customer arrives in our place, for good service we bring a bottle of 1ltr water and we charge it only for 1euro BUT if someone doesn't want it we just take it back.Secondly the dip and the croutons I told you it was from us for free just to begin...As for the feta sause..I never told that is for free..all the sauces at all RESTAURANTS that comings at the side of a beef steak is not for free...At the and for the eggs with the zucchini...I told you that it takes a little bits because we cook it at the same time...I think that all the people prefers a fresh cooked food than a food rehoted at the microven!!!Thank you any way because the small details that probably a customer seems to see its the cause that we became better in our jobs!!!All the best Mrs.Roxana.

awesome fish - delicious and very fresh. Lovely service - you feel to be the part of the Greek family - owners really cares how do you like the food and atmosphere. Everything was very tasty and for very reasonable price. Plus you get a very good desert and limoncello as a present at the end. We truly enjoyed this place and were visiting it several times during our stay in Stalos.

In 1994, in the area of Platanias, Chania "Giaourtoplimmira" has opened, a small shop with a big abition: to be your first gastronomic choice regarding souvlaki, fast food and any other taste you would like to experience. With a lot of work and even more
Returned to Crete this year and straight to Giaourtoplimmira for our first meal. Same excellent food and service. Children insisting on enjoying their meals here throughout their holiday. Highly recommended.
