It's funny. Reading the other reviews, you get a mix of them. All I know is that I've visited this restaurant many times and it's always been so-so. When I went last time, the gyros was awesome. Everyone at the table was really happy with the food. We were all pleasantly surprised. In my opinion, one of the better Greeks in Speyer.

Speyer was so busy with the Christmas Market on the last Sunday, we decided to drive to Paradies Am See. This would be a wonderful place to revisit in the summer so that we could enjoy the lake view.The food was excellent and has a Greek slant. The "mixed grill" and Lamb cutlets were cooked to perfection. Great staff, English speaking if your German is limited.This one goes straight to the top of our list!

Die auÃerordentlich freundliche und hilfsbereite Familie - vor sechs Monaten aus Thessaloniki nach Speyer gekommen - hat mich in übelstem Unwetter mit vorzüglichem Kaffee aus der Siebträgermaschine und warmen Worten gerettet, als drauÃen die Sichtweite maximal 20m betrug und nicht nur Bäume herumflogen.Nach drei Stunden lief mir immer noch das Wasser aus den Schuhen und ich zog beständig im Restaurant eine Pfütze hinter mir her...Am Abend habe ich noch ein vorzügliches Bier bekommen - und konnte ausführlich die vielfältige und spannende Karte studieren. Ich werde trockenen FuÃes wieder kommen - und bin sicher, dass ich dann vorzüglich Speisen werde - worauf ich mich jetzt schon freue!

We were together with my husband tonight for going out to eat. I was pretty wonder when I got my Thunfish salad without some ingredients which are included in Menu. Portion was smaller as usual and portion of paprika was delivered on extra plate. I found it not good.

Mal wieder den Mittagstisch im Dionyssos genossen, einfach lecker. Suppe und Salat vorab und die Wahl fiel auf die Kalamares, alles sehr gut, dazu noch einen Ouzo und ein Dessert, hier passt alles. Als Zugabe der immer wieder sehr persönliche und nette Service.Bei gutem Wetter lässt es sich auch drauÃen geniessen....top!

All the meat dishes are grilled to perfection. You can help yourself with a side salad at the salad bar and load up on classic favourites like cabbage salad, tzatziki, olives etc. The staff are very friendly. If you have any food intolerances then speak to the owner. He is always there in the evening and a fantastic host. Great spacious place with rather modern interior. While waiting for the food you can beam yourself back to your last Greek holiday by watching travel videos on their discreet televisions and listen to Greek music. Also try their reasonably priced lunch menu.

Stopped here for lunch and wanted to eat outside, but there were no tables with shade. The Mother of the owner was sitting at table under an umbrella and she went inside giving us her table.The waiter was very helpful with the menu. We ordered Sen.Schweineschhnitz and gyros-teller.
