My wife and I first came to Skala in 1994, and between then and 2011, we must have stayed there the best part of 30 times. Siroco was always our "go-to" restaurant, where we usually ate 4 or 5 times in a fortnight, due to the excellence of the food and the warmth of the welcome from Andreas. Never fails to brighten your holiday. In 2011, we decided that the village was becoming a little over-commercialised, so we gave it a miss until this year, when we returned in September. First night, went to the Siroco, same welcome, immediately recognised, same excellent food, it was as if we hadn't been away! This time, we ate at Siroco on 10 of the 14 nights, and were never disappointed. I am partial to lamb chops, and on 8 of the 10 nights, I ordered the same main course of lamb chops, always with mint gravy on the side. Delicious! My wife was particularly partial to everything she tried, so good was the all-round quality of the food. Many thanks again, Andreas, and I don't think it will be an 8 year gap before we return!Dear friend thank you for the review!At Siroco itâs all about good food,good fun and make you feel relaxed and welcome!Make you feel like home!What is left now is to tell us if after 8 years you still felt the same way like 2011 ?

We were recommended Makis by a tour rep and have to say we were sceptical just because of that reason, however Makis became a favourite of our family. A lovely warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The food is lovely especially the steak. My son devoured his Kefalonian meat pie, although couldnât finish it all as the portion sizes are generous. Lovely finish to the meal was the fresh fruit with honey & cinnamon on the house. We went back twice as we enjoyed it so much, so weâll worth the little walk off Pedestrian Street to reach it. We couldnât work out what they cook their potatoes in but theyâre lovely!

After visiting Skala many times before: for some reason we had never been in here! Regretting it now. End of season, yet this place is still open serving delicious food and friendly service. So reasonably priced, lots of choice for vegetarians. Vegetarian plate to share is worth trying! Really delicious. Will be on the list to revisit when back again.

It all began in 2001 with one man and his dream. Come on in and let Apostolis and Natalia be your hosts, while you enjoy delicious traditional Greek food served with Kefalonian hospitality, in a warm family atmosphere. All our dishes are cooked to order;
This restuarant has a lovely atmosphere, the lighting is just right when it gets dark.Had a lovely meal here. My husband is partial to the meatballs and we made sure we visited when the soutzoukakia was on special. I had the port fillet with mushrooms, the portions are very good.The staff are so nice and very attentive.The prices are very reasonable - in fact cheapest meal of the week.Would definitely recommend the Apostolis

Visited with my husband whilst on holiday. Had read the reviews so weâre expecting great food. And.... we werenât disappointed! Whilst it is a smaller menu in comparison to other restaurants in Skala this was perfect. Food was delicious. I had the moussaka and although initially I thought it needed a side salad, it was just perfect. My husband had the veal liver and he said it was delicious! Lovely restaurant, great value and would certainly recommend.

Along with the beautiful food and amazing staff Annie was really great with the fact that we have kids with us sometimes noisy and embarrassing, when we asked for a table out of the way she had a great little nook she tucked us in that we felt we could enjoy our meal without disturbing anyone else... Along with the fab cocktails the food was divine and you get real portions, along with a good kids Menu and a great Veggie/Vegan variety and beautiful freshly made brad rolls!Really enjoyable eveningThank you so much for your lovely review

It could have been the lovely outdoor seating area or the delicious lamb kleftiko, not quite sure what but something made us fall in love with Mikkelatos. The restaurant combines Scandinavian charm with Greek hospitality and talent for quality food. We met the owner one evening and he told us the beautiful story of the businessâs Scandi roots. He also helped us pick drinks to go with the food we had chosen. Fear not, if youâre not up for conversation they wonât intrude. Everyone working there have great customer service skills. It is a bit on the pricey side but if youâre looking to pamper yourself with a fancy night out in Skala, it is definitely the place to go.

We booked a table and glad we did as this place is very popular. This is a special place and we went here for our wedding anniversary, We asked for a table with a view and we certainly got that, we were placed looking out to sea. They have great taste in decor and use beautiful glasses, decanters and plates. The food was delicious and the house red was good. The staff are very friendly and very efficient. They knew it was our wedding anniversary and brought us a delicious dessert with a candle which we thought was a lovely gesture. We arrived in a taxi but they wouldn't drive up to Anemos because the road is quite bad so we walked the last 5 minutes or so.We got this taverna to order a taxi back to our hotel and they insisted in getting a taxi that did drive along this bad road. We thank you for making our anniversary very special and look forward to coming back next year.

We ordered two pork gyros and a mythos in half(note - the beer is quite expensice in comparison to other places, 4â¬!) Gyros was really good, pitta was the best i tries on the island, like your grandma made it for you:) they should put more tzatziki on the whole gyros, not just the tip! Absolutely try! :)
