This is a traditional local taverna, but everything they make is excellent, the portions are generous and the staff is very friendly. We spent a week in this area and ate at Vafis almost every day, at the end we did not even consider any other place.

We came here for lunch. The food was excellent. We had a variety of salads that were very good. We also had very tasty meatballs & chicken done to Granny's recipe. The mountain tea was very good. The service was efficient & extremely friendly.

Had a light dinner here of fried mushrooms and a Greek salad. The food was okay, good sized portions, friendly prompt service, good English spoken. It was busy and a number of locals were eating there which is always a good sign. It's on the main road, a short walk down from the main square. Being on the main road means you've got the noise of cars and motorbikes going past your table! Has plenty of shade from trees. Doesn't look as "trendy" as some of the restaurants in the main square. The owner is the chef and his young daughter serves on tables.

The quality of the food was very bad. All of the dishes were far below expectations. The garden was really nice though but the food was trully bad. The mousaka was tasteless and the besamel sauce betrayed a preparation of the previous day. The chicken was overcooked and very dry. The waiter was almost rude.
