Wir haben schon öfters âgriechischâ beim Heckinghauser Grill bestellt und waren immer zu 100% zufrieden! Es gibt groÃe Portionen und ganz leckeres Gyrosfleisch! Für solch groÃe Portionen, sind die Preise absolut moderat! Ganz bestimmt zu empfehlen! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Hellas Grill, for more than twenty years they have served scores of stoned teens (who else would dream up a pizza with béarnaise sauce, pork fillet and broccoli), holiday makers longing for a bit of summer and locals. Though no Greek resident of Wuppertal will set foot in Hellas Grill. The food has over the years become diluted, the menu overbearing with items that read as if they once were what a customer asked for and somehow made it onto the menu. However, this takeaway turned restaurant is a favourite among the locals who swear they make the best Pizza. And it's true, they do make a good Pizza although the crown of "Best Pizza in Town" has been taken by a new venture.So why do the Greeks avoid it. Well there is no Metaxa Sauce in Greece, Greeks do not eat fried cheese as a main course and they don't eat Jägerschnitzel. It is, in the end, a takeaway run by Greeks who are very friendly and offer a speedy service. Order anything on the phone and it'll be ready in ten minutes.

Wir haben hier mit einer Gruppe von etwas mehr als 10 Leuten zu Abend gegessen.Leider war die ganze Gruppe nicht wirklich begeistert.Kleine Portionen, der GroÃteil der Speisen kam kalt an den Tisch und auÃerdem waren manche Speisen einfach deutlich überteuert. Ein Teller Bauerngyros für fast 15 Euro ist schon sehr überzogen, wenn man überlegt, dass es sich um eine sehr überschaubare (kalte) Portion Gyros mit Schafskäse und ein bischen Salat und Tzaziki handelt. Beilagen wie Pommes oder Grillgemüse kosten extra.Besonders negativ waren die Pommes. Diese schmeckten nur nach Fett. Das Fett schien zudem nicht besonders frisch gewesen zu sein.Auch die griechischen Tapas konnte nicht überzeugen.Positiv hervorzuheben ist der Service. Wir wurden jederzeit freundlich und zügig bedient.Aber so lange die Küche auf diesem Level arbeitet, werden wir das Restaurant nicht wieder besuchen kommen.

The selection of Greek restaurants in Wuppertal is not fantastic. Lots of Greek/pizza combi places that serve up plates heaped high with questionable meats and greasy fries. Top it all off with some iceberg salad and cheap cocktail creme - yuck!Piraus is a delight of a completely different kind. The food is fresh! The retsina comes in bottles and different sorts and they don't do iceberg salad. The dining surroundings are clean, fresh and tastefully decorated - not the usual kitch dust-covered statues and dim lighting. The service by the owner is friendly, open and honest. He will engage you in discussions of different wines and ouzos - if you want to , but has good sense and is not intrusive. The younger service people are friendly and like to joke around a little and always strike the right balance. The food is high quality and freshly prepared. They grill fish here and don't just throw everything into the fryer like most of the Greek restaurants in Wuppertal tend to do.I had a royal dorade and it was just that: big, perfectly grilled and well presented. In spring and summer you can even sit outside and enjoy the authentic fresh Greek food!This is the best in Wuppertal for Greek - enjoy!

It's in our neighbourhood and we've been there a couple of times now. The greek family who owns it is very friendly and the restaurant is always well visited. The dozens variations on the mixed grilled meat are always worth it: tasty, filling, good quality meat. Moussaka is pretty good too. Dolmadakia unfortunately quite standard (I'm still looking for a place who does tender homemade stuffed vine leaves...) You always get a small aperitif and a ouzo un the house. Prices are very fair and service is prompt. The deco is greek enough without being kitsch. You won#t be disappointed.

Wir waren am Freitag Abend das erste Mal dort und sind begeistert. Die Location ist toll. Der Service super nett. Das Highlight war aber das Essen. Die Tapas sind sehr zu empfehlen. Wir hatten jeder eine groÃe gemixte Platte und sind mehr als satt geworden. AuÃerdem gibt es eine riesen Auswahl an vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten, aber auch Fleischesser kommen nicht zu kurz.

Diese griechische Restaurant können wir sehr gut weiterempfehlen.Es ist ein typischer Grieche mitten in Schwelm.Die Gerichte haben uns alle sehr gut geschmeckt.Super Gyros und alles sehr frisch!AuÃerdem ein sehr freundlicher Service.Wir kommen gerne wieder!Allerdings vielleicht ein klein wenig zu teuer. Aber 60 Euro für ein Abendessen mit 2 Personen ist heutzutage auch wiederum nicht unüblich (2 Vorspeisen, 2 Hauptgerichte, 1 Bier und 1 Flasche Wasser).

Der Laden brummt und das aus gutem Grund. Das Essen schmeckt richtig gut, ist reichlich und die Betreuung sehr herzlich, bemüht ausgesprochen freundlich und höflich. Das alles wird noch getoppt von einer unglaublich guten Stimmung und guter Laune, egal wie voll das Restaurant auch ist. GroÃes Kompliment an das ganze Team.Einen Abend dort zu verbringen ist absolut empfehlenswert.
