Come enjoy a delightful meal at Restaurant Casa Flora. At this restaurant you can bring your own wine. They are open late all week. You can get there not only by public transit but also by car. The neighboring location is memorable for its merchants.
On my way back from Québec City, I stopped at Casa Flora for a quick dinner before continuing my treck home. They do not serve liquor or wine, it is a bring your own wine establishment. A bit of a disapointment but not their fault, this is the type of restaurant. I ordered a breaded shrimp plate that was quite greek style (sort of an imitation of Casa Grecque). At first, the look was ok but when the tasting began, the rice was bland from having sat in the warm table for to long. The same goes for the garlic butter that tasted almost stale (again coming from the steam table). All in all, the food was acceptable at best. Will not return.

Every year we go to Saint-Hyacinthe to visit friends we've known for forty years. Two years ago we dined together at the "Au Vieux Duluth". We were very impressed with the quality of the food, the atmosphere and the selection of items on the menu. We returned this year to find it was still good but had come down a notch. The menu was more like the menu of a 'family restaurant' and the plates arrived with the potatoes and rice combination of the usual American-Greek restaurant. We were a little surprised because this had not been our experience two years ago. My husband and I had the filet mignon and it was very good. We all brought our own wine and we all had a very good evening.

Allez-y! C'est un petit trésor caché!

Wow. I am not sure why I keep going back. There was a time when I enjoyed Casa Grecque but that time has passed. We went with a group of friends with kids. Not only was the menu almost all the same, it was pricey. The food was bland and tasteless. The service was meh. Cannot even recall if it was good or not. A regrettable experience. Suggest that you skip this place.
