Reviews on Greek food in Rodgau, Hesse, Germany. Rodgau is a town in the Offenbach district in the Regierungsbezirk of Darmstadt in Hesse, Germany. It lies southeast of Frankfurt am Main in the Frankfurt Rhine Main Region and has the greatest population of any municipality in the Offenbach district. It came into being in 1979 when the greater community of Rodgau was raised to town, after having been formed through a merger of five formerly self-administering communities in the framework of municipal reform in Hesse in 1977. The current constituent communities’ history reaches back to the 8th century.

So this is what I've come to expect in this part of Germany. It claims to be a Greek restaurant, but to me it seems that the menu is German re-badged as Greek. There's no meze courses, no vine leaves etc all the stuff you might expect in a "London" Greek restaurant.Having said that the food seems fine, the prawn salad I had was very good. The wine was average to OK. The service was friendly but could be a bit more prompt. The eating area is light bright and white, giving a Mediterranean feel. Remember Average is not bad - still worth a visit if you find yourself in Heusenstamm

Finally a restaurant in Gremany that posts itself as doing Greek food, actually does Greek style food. OK you can still get "schnitzel" but there's a good range of Greek dishes. We had the "Rhodos" moxed grill for two. More than enough all all excellent. The service is prompt and the eating area is very pleasant! Not much more you can say really. Worth a visit. I'll be coming back. I rate this the best place in town.
