My wife and I finally went to The Favourite Greek to try their souvlaki. We both had the chicken souvlaki dinner and it was very good. We had the potatos along with the Greek salad that came with the meal. They had 2 beers on tap, Moosehead and Barking Squirrel, bit we settled for bottled beer and a Caesar for drinks. The interior was simple with basic tables and chairs, and 4 booths. Service was good but nothing exceptional.

I hadn't been to the Souvlaki Pit for awhile, so when we needed takeout, I thought about their Greek dinners and their wonderful flavoured roast potatoes, and that's where I went. The potatoes were better than ever....as is the garlic sauce. The pork souvlaki was again nicely marinaded. Also had a gyros.......which is always good. Had two baclava's for dessert----very sweet but wonderful. And the total cost? Only $26. And the chef put the food in my own containers, as I requested. The family that runs this place sure put in a lot of hours, and they are open 364 days a year. I admire their hard work and dedication to good food. But I can only imagine how exhausting this must be at times.
