Find out what Greek restaurants to try in Oia. Oia is carved out of the cliffs, and visitors can see houses built for Venetian sea captains as well as the more typical "cave houses" of the villagers. You’ll find the pure white buildings with colorful roofs that are typical of Greek architecture, and you’ll probably enjoy poking around the town. But don’t breeze through in an hour—you must stay for the sunset. It’s legendary. Watch from a café, or, better yet, from a boat—you’ll be spellbound.

Pelekanos was the suggestion of our hotel Anassa when we told them of our plan to walk from Firá to Oia this afternoon and have a nice meal watching the sunset. The walk was spectacular, the food quite nice but pricey due to the location (rooftop terrace with 360deg view), sunset was not so spectacular. The most memorable part of our meal was the attentive kindness of the waiting staff especially Pantelis who made our evening an even more enjoyable one. Thank you.Thank you very much for the good feedback !!!We hope to see you again and we wish you wonderful holidays in GreeceSincerelyThe Pelekanos Restaurant Team

We celebrated our 3rd Marriage Anniversary with a dinner at Lycabettus and our experience was outstanding. Firstly, the view is what we went for. Sitting there, enjoying our lovely dinner and taking in the breathtaking view. It was so good you can't describe it in words. Secondly, we were blown away by the gastronomic experience, thanks to the staff for explaining everything in detail and to the chef for preparing and presenting the most wonderful dishes & dessert. I ordered short rib, other half ordered chicken breast and this unique dessert (that I can't remember) and we loved all of it. The way it was made and explained made it a very enlightening experience and that is something you can hardly ever say about a meal. Every dish, came with a pre-dish which was also very surprising and the cherry on top were the gourmet candies that they sent us for our celebration. It was very thoughtful and we thank you for that!Overall, the experience is something you got to be there to understand and its a must visit especially if you want to celebrate a special occasion. My other half and I loved it and we will surely visit if we revisit Santorini again. Keep up the good work guys!Dear Guest,It is an honor for us to read through your review at Tripadvisor, how muchyou enjoyed your anniversary dinner at Lycabettus Restaurant.Thank you for taking the time to write your experience and your opinion about our service and our menu.We all wish to welcome you soon back in majestic Santorini and Lycabettus Restaurant, the most beautiful balcony of the world.Kind Regards,Nadia Georgantopoulou

Restaurant Karma is situated in idyllic Santorini located on the pedestrian road of the traditional village of Oia behind the tower clock and offers the perfect setting for a romantic quiet dinner. The impressive decoration is combined with an innovative
Overall, this place has its charms but service is uneven (not rude, just forgot orders and slow). The chickpea stew is phenomenal and really memorable. I've never had more flavor in a vegetarian dish. The moussaka was completely forgettable on the other hand. It was served slightly lukewarm too. I wouldn't recommend it.The stewed vegetables wasn't very tasty either despite the menu description playing it up. I wouldn't recommend it.The "spaghetti" was good and an island specialty -- if you don't get it with meatballs or chili/parmessan then you're getting it the authentic way. It is a garlicly (light) noodle with some tomatoes. It was simplicity at its best.If you don't like cats, you shouldn't sit here cause they have a lot here they like to keep around.Wine by the glass is huge and a great value here.

Right behind the Oia Bus Station, this place serves (there is also a takeaway option here) one of the best Gyros. Also their vegetarian starter (platter for 2) is a must try - simple but yet super delicious. The service also was super quick and very efficient - a must visit.

Only Greek deli products and traditional home food...combine all the wines of Santorini...come for a unique gastronomic experience!
My first night on Santorini (after navigating through the masses during sunset hours in Oia), I found my way to the magical courtyard of Oia Vineyart. Immediately, I had heard that Oia Vineyart had the best selection of local cheeses & wine, and rather than fight the crowds for a table, I was hoping to take some of these local delicacies back to my terrace for a relaxing evening overlooking the caldera. Immediately George and the team took me, explaining the different wines on their extensive menu, and even having me taste a few before purchasing two exceptional bottles of the Assyrtiko varietal. Then came the really fun part -- George cut up five of his favorite cheese from the Cyclades, and I did a mini tasting right at the counter before he packaged up the perfect portions for me to snack on during my short solo vacation to Santorini. But perhaps the best part -- as I was eyeing the local fish soaking in olive oil, George selected his favorite -- the mackerel -- and prepared it with the most delicious combination of herbs & spices. It was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. Finally, before departing, George was kind enough to invite me back the following evening, when he mentioned that they would have live music in the courtyard. Of course I obliged, and I'm glad I did. Participating in a more formal wine tasting in their beautiful courtyard (while listing to exceptional live music) will forever be one of my favorite memories of Santorini (and perhaps Greece). Thank you Oia Vineyart!

Τraditional Greek cuisine (meze), off the main rd, cozy, friendly, fresh local products, cured delicacies, espresso and traditional based alchohol drinks (wine, raki and beers),enjoy any of our fine products over looking the volcano in the Caldera sea on
Of all the places we ate on the island this was one of our favourites. We booked a table on the rooftop terrace for sunset and ordered pita with a selection of dips, chicken pasta, spicey sausages and the meatballs all of which were delicious. The waitress helped us out with some recommendations and even discouraged us from ordering more food than we could finish! A must visit for authentic Greek tapas.

We tried the chicken and pork Gyros ( which they fill with meat and fries) we also tried the meat platters. Pitas and good - fries are fabulous and meat is perfection. It is moist, tender and smoked to perfection. The meat platter could feed 2 people easy. The side of fries could feed two or three- except I wanted to eat them all myself. Great to eating in or take out.

I emailed the restaurant on September 14th to make a reservation for September 30th. I was told to call the restaurant when I arrived and they would try and accommodate us. My impression was that they receive lots of requests for a reservation and will only confirm once you arrive in Santorini. At no time did I suspect the reservation would be a problem. I emailed and called when we arrived, after a couple of hours of calling someone answered and told me no, they could not accommodate us. The gentleman was quite rude and abrupt and made me feel like an idiot for wasting his time. If I had been informed ahead of time, I could have made a reservation at another restaurant, but this was handled very poorly. I now believe the restaurant knew I would be on some sort of waiting list, but never indicated to me that they were fully booked. Felt like they cared more about filling the restaurant and having a waiting list than taking care of customers - a very poor customer experience. There are so many great restaurants in Santorini that treat their customers well, why put up with this kind of abuse.

If youâre looking for a beach to spend the day at, youâve found it. Yalos is essentially a trendy beach club with its own private beach, serving awesome cocktails and great food. The restaurant setting is pretty special. The kitchen is actually in a cave built into the cliffs, right on the beach. The day beds and cabanas available for hire are so comfortable, you can spend an entire day lounging here. The seated tables are free of charge. We didnât expect to eat here, but we were having such a nice and relaxing day that we decided to stay for the whole afternoon. I am glad we decided to stay for lunch because otherwise we wouldâve missed out on a great meal. Yalos does it all well. And the service was super friendly. If youâre right on the beach, you should be ordering seafood. Which is what we did. The mussels in white wine was a nice change and the stuffed squid was perfectly tender. They also do non-seafood dishes, the saffron risotto was a winner. We visited in September 2018 so this is a late review but I am trying to make an effort to recommend my favourite places we visited on our Europe trip!

We ate here several times during our stay and stopped off for morning coffee daily! The atmosphere is informal and friendly with excellent quick service. The staff remembered us after the first couple of visits and were always very welcoming and chatty. The food is delicious. They have some of the local dishes; fava, tomato fritters etc and great menu of main courses. Every day there are specials. I had grilled fish twice and it was excellent on both occasions. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.
