I have grown up in Canada,Went to a cooking school, and then i worked in difrent restaurants in Toronto and Hotels and grills,When i came back to Samos i wanted to open my own tavern, but there was no road ,It took me 4Years of my life to make this road in
A long walk from Limnionas in heat but well worth it. Andreas the owner so friendly and his meals are a little different than the average but cooked with flair. Better to at least drive some of the way. Access to beach below but over some rocks- a wonderful quiet beach cove just beyond is easier to get to.Thanks for the good words,we have to be good all the time in order to keep bring the people back,we have the responsibility to keep all the food as best and the taste and the look. Where we are its not the easiest place to come and we depend on the people to advertise for us.

Chrisopetro restaurant is situated in the beginning of village Kampos, Marathokampos, in a magical location built literally on the rocks. Standing on the balcony you get the feeling that you are floating over the sea, the view is breathtaking at any momen
We returned this year with family and were warmly welcomed by Sophia. The terrace has great views along the coast and food and service is great.2 of us shared a lobster (one of the everal specials) which was supberb and we shared an entree of briam (vegetable casserole) and a special salad. The presentation is above the average for this area and we all came away happy.

Trata is the fishermen’s restaurant in the picturesque village of Ormos Marathokampos in the southwestern part of Samos. Ideally situated, between the two harbors of the village, with a spatious yard in front of the little beach of Ormos, find yourselves
We ate here a few times while staying in Ormos and every time the food was excellent. Different specials everyday and the fish was always superb. Best sardines ever! Very nice wine, very nice people, very nice location. Plus their breakfast is outstanding, beautiful fresh eggs!A must place to eat in Ormos.Thank you so much!

I'd heard good things about Orizontas from friends who are from Samos, and was not disappointed: the menu offers some very creative dishes (the beetroot millefeuille was scrumptious) and the view is superb. Coupled with the modern and airy ambiance, and the friendly service, this is a restaurant that I would highly recommend - it is certainly worth the drive up to Platanos.

Mama's Kitchen is a very different dining experience. Every day Mama cooks a selection of traditional Greek as well as international dishes, and every day she cooks something different. We also cater for vegetarians and have a separate childrens menu too.
Mama's kitchen was on our list to be for about a week. We were so satisfied with the food and hosts, we decided to have dinner there around the day. The atmosphere is a little crazy; daughter yelling at mother in the backroom then coming back to your table with a huge smile, asking if everything is fine. Very funny at times. The food is very fresh. They have a limited menu which changes everyday, so you will have to reserve a table a day before at best. All in all this restaurant is not pretentious which is also their strength. For us it was good enough to visit them very, very frequently. Because we have a little kid, they were willing to be a little more flexible in their actual serving times; but that is supposed to be a secret and an exception ;-) . A must visit!

A must to visit! Bill and Salome are the perfect hosts! The food is fantastic and the friendship is real. Salome is amazing in the kitchen! From her main courses to her desserts, you will not be disappointed. I will not tell you what to order, but take one of the specials for the day. We ate there 4 times in one week! Bill will keep you entertained and answer any questions about Samos.Relax and enjoy! Salome is the only one cooking in the kitchen, so it will take time to get your order. But it is worth it! Since Salome does all the cooking, it is consistently good! Sit, talk, have a drink and enjoy!

We went twice to the Kampos Grill. The first visit was at nighttime and we ordered a few Mezes and some beef- and lamb-souvlaki-plates - which were good but in our opinion just a little overpriced. Due to some ordering recommendations from locals we still gave it another shot - returning for a small lunch consisting of three delicious (!!) pita gyros sandwhiches and a fresh, very tasty salad - everything pitch-perfectly prepared and at a much more moderate price. It's never too late to change opinion - hence, we can now we can only chime in the chorus of praise for this small, lovely place in the lush shadow beneath a tree. We will definitely be back a third time for the spectacular pork ribs that the very sympathetic owner recommended. Rest of the crew was very friendly, too!

Great setting under greenery and by the beach. I tried the house special which was stuffed tomatoe and pepper and delicious. Service was good and very pleasant.

Holiday, 3 elderly ladies from Finland, good friends of Greek food: In Restaurant Kamara we got delicious food in a very friendly atmosphere and we got quick & efficient service. We ate there few times and after visiting some other restaurants (which proved to be at best very average), we came back to Kamara also on the last 2 nights of our holiday....just to be sure that we get something good to eat. And so we did. Thank you guys!
