A friend invited me for dinner and we had a great starter of octopus! Well decorated, soft and delicious. Staff is friendly. Menu is in Greek and Dutch. But ask the staff to explain in English. The place is crowded since it is one of the best Greek restaurants in Netherlands.

Although the fresh interior was promising, the new menu is very different.I think they aim for a less traditional Greek menu, more Mezedes (Tapas-like) approach.I expect they will attract a different group of people with that. Not sure if that's us...Thanks for your review...We are trying to overcome the standart "Greek" kitchen that is presented in Europe, and bring in more and more traditional Greek food, what we serve as Meze, what is more commen in Greece than meat and fries...I hope we will welcome you back, and impress you with our new setup..Greetings

Great food, in an rather tired setting. You eat in Minos, you don't dine. Howvever, compared to all the "uppity" dining type restaurants Maaseik, Minos is an ordinary, affordable, attentive and not over crowed alternative. The wait staff are quick to serve, but it seems as though they process a lot of take-out orders so meals do not come quickly - not even the salad! You need to be prepared to wait - BUT it is worth while - knowing that it is cooked, not re-heated. You get very generous portions and it really tastes delicious. I go back every time that I'm in Masseik.

Nothing outstanding about the Greek food here -- it was a tad greasy and disappointing. The serving size was large -- but frankly, I'd prefer smaller portions and better quality. The restaurant was noisy and busy, and the waitstaff were initially brusque but warmed up and became friendlier as the evening progressed.

Nice restaurant with friendly staff. Nice place to have diner with friends. We ordered some speciality dishes from cook with meat and fish. It was tasteful and not too salty. Nice salad. Nice oval shaped tables. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Great restaurant. Food was fresh, staff pleasant and experience really good. But we ordered the fixed meal for two, figuring we couldn't be bothered to choose. So we should have ordered the fixed meal for two and shared with the couple on the other table. Portions are very big, good value and I wish I'd had just a starter. You won't be disappointed but trust me.. just order a starter or two and then see if you want more.

We heard lots of good things about this place, and it looked gorgeous, but our experience was not the most positive. Starters were generous and nice, but one of the mains, the tenderloin in metaxa cream sauce, just wasn't worth the 22 eur charged. The meat, some beef, not tenderloin for sure, was cooked to the point where it was just a mouth full of tough fibers tasting like liver. Our waiter did absolutely nothing when we mentioned this to him when he collected the the not finished plate. Instead he charged an additional portion of rice. Could be bad luck, but both the service and the chef failed in our case.
